Proposed disability support cuts will hit 3 million people. We must pause: withdraw the cuts, consult disabled people, & redesign the system with their consent. There's no need for cuts - taxing the wealthiest is the way forward, not slashing support for the most vulnerable.

@dodgson_sally Despite serious arthritis in my back I’ve walked away from the @DWPgovuk I now survive by selling my possessions. It’s impossible to pay my bills, however the mental torture of dealing with these evil people was intolerable. Now they’re snooping on bank accounts! They’re killers.

@TheMeldrew Concerning that many MPs don’t seem aware of the full implications. Will harm so many and will cost lives Also the issue that someone able/working, becomes disabled in the future. They will not get long term help, despite paying into the state for years #DisabilityBenefits

I don't get any help with my mortgage, so any cut to my remaining benefits mean I could lose my home and/or my mobility car. This would push me into Homelessness & Food insecurity, Foodbank would be no help as I have food allergies. It's a mess.

Exactly this. The money exists. It’s just hoarded at the top. Cutting support from 3 million disabled people isn’t necessity, it’s a choice. And it’s a disgrace.

Well said, Neil. What horrifies many of us is whilst these plans to throw us in abject poverty are still on the table, so is an assisted dying bill that’s removed safeguards for non-terminal disabilities. I’m assuming they think we’re all idiots who don’t pay attention to the bill during the various stages. Below is an incomplete list of some of the safeguards that were voted away. If you could take a few minutes to look through, I hope you’ll also see the danger of this bill and support disabled people once again.

More needs to be done. Words are not enough. MPs need ri get together on this. There are 16 million disabled people in the UK. They are have friends family and carers. Thats a lot of lost votes.

Need to stop these cuts now, or end up like what just happened with cutting the WFA, be a big rebellion, even bigger than the WFA cuts, should learn from their mistakes the Front bench like Reeves, Kendal, instead of repeating it

The government says that disabled people will “co-produce” the PIP review, but deciding to make cuts and then asking disabled people which cuts they would prefer is at best a rubber stamping exercise. No disabled people’s organisations support this Bill. We must vote against it.

In Parliament today, I called for the planned cuts to disability benefits to be scrapped. We should not be balancing the books on the backs of the poorest. Instead, we should be taxing the wealthiest. If the Government does not drop its plans, I'll be voting against the cuts.
