PS Dr. Raymond Omollo — CBS has valid points. In 2007 when Rt. Hon Raila Odinga ran for presidency, Kalenjins through President Ruto stood with him without conditions. Ruto has also accommodated ODM without conditions. As we go to ODM/UDA talks, there is no need for many conditions.

PS Omollo warns Homabay Governor, Madam Wanga that her “days are numbered” Omollo says politics of conmanship ended with the death of Raila Odinga, and that those who have been lying to Luos for along time, thinks Luos are stupid. The rift between Omollo and ODM has grown following the Kasipul by-election where Omollo was supporting the independent candidate against the ODM Candidate. Omollo has also been grooming his elder brother who is expected to run for Homabay Governor in 2027 on UDA ticket, with the current Deputy Governor as his running mate. Following the death of Raila and with Oburu under his tight control, Ruto has accelerated his takeover of Luo Nyanza, buying politicians, bloggers, etc using PS Omollo. The Luo politicians who have refused to kowtow have been threatened that they will be rigged out in 2027 and there is nothing they will do about it.

If GenZs keep pulling each other down they will go to the ballot to choose between Raila and Ruto in 2027. Allow leaders to emerge. If you want to disqualify a GenZ leader because they were in an old photo with Ruto then you need to disqualify everyone in the political space. It needs to be fair. Wamunyoro has a photo with Ruto. Matiangi hasa photo with Ruto. Raila has a photo with Ruto. Kalonzo has a photo with Ruto. Omtata has a photo with Ruto. Maraga has a photo with Ruto. So why are you deplatforming the youth for an old photo with Ruto without applying the same standard to all other leaders? It doesn’t make sense.

Information is power. William Ruto had hosted rebels calling themselves Congo River Alliance with the ultimate goal of toppling the DRC government. SADC has a peace-keeping mission in DRC and William Ruto was undermining their efforts for personal gain because he’s become a gold smuggler. William Ruto’s contradictory positions on other thorny issues like Palestine and Ukraine were always at odds with official AU positions. There was no way Raila Odinga would have won with a gaffe-prone train-wreck in motion like William Ruto. It doesn’t matter how many propagandists Dr. Raymond Omollo — CBS pays with taxpayers money to obfuscate these facts with ethnocentric provocations.

Even the choreographed group from within ODM, who were only singing praises of the union with the State, seemed to forget that they were at a funeral. Was it a ceremony to endorse the union between ODM and Dr. Ruto or was it the burial of the Right Hon. Raila Odinga? They were trying to make political capital out of it and that is why there was no room for divergent opinions. They could have allowed one or two members from the opposition side to speak. It would also have made sense to give me time to speak as his running mate.

The value proposition for Gachagua for me, from an ODM perspective, is that he is taking away votes that helped beat us in 2022. For as long as he is taking away votes from Ruto, I don’t care where he takes them; he is not giving William Ruto. If Raila Odinga were to get the exact same number of votes that he got in 2022 in 2027 and William Ruto loses Mt Kenya, Raila will be President.
