The DCSO is looking for the public 's assistance in locating the individual in this video who was hit by a vehicle at the side show the CAT Team stopped last night in the area of 135th and F Street. The vehicle that hit her was an Orange Camaro, we do have the plates and owner's information but will be withholding that to allow them the opportunity to come forward. These sideshow events are not just 'kids' out 'having fun'. They are illegal, and they are dangerous, often involving drugs, weapons, and alcohol, not to mention the reckless driving behaviors. The CAT Team will continue to monitor and stop them whenever and wherever they spring up. Do you know this man? If so, #JCSO investigators would love an introduction. On 02/17/2024 at 04:15, deputies were dispatched to the Exxon gas station at 18561 US Hwy. 40 in reference to a robbery. The pictured individual entered the business, walked directly to the counter, and asked for cigarettes. As the cashier turned his back, the suspect produced a black handgun and directed it at the cashier. The suspect told the cashier to “give me the money” and said he did not want to hurt anyone. The suspect’s footprints lead to vehicle tracks, indicating the vehicle may have been a “dually” pickup truck. Quick thinking #DCSO deputies catch another auto theft suspect. On Monday night, patrol deputies responded to a report of an in-progress vehicle theft on Mill Vista Road in Highlands Ranch. Responding deputies quickly established a perimeter and began searching the area. The vehicle was located, occupied, in a parking garage on Mill Vista Road. Upon observing law enforcement in the area, the suspect vehicle attempted to back out of a parking space. The deputy activated the patrol vehicle's emergency lights and pulled forward to signal the suspect to stop. The suspect vehicle accelerated forward, scraping, and colliding with the front passenger side push bumper of the patrol vehicle. The vehicle ran a stop sign and sped away. Deputies pursued the vehicle for a short distance, and the suspect vehicle spun out of control and rolled backwards into a metal railing, where it was pinned in place by deputies. The suspect, later identified as Armon Chism (DOB: 05/15/1982), of Denver, fled from the vehicle, and a short foot pursuit was initiated by pursuing deputies. The suspect was placed into custody after a successful taser deployment. While conducting their investigation, deputies were able to establish probable cause that Chism was a suspect in an earlier vehicle pursuit of a stolen Hyundai Tucson at the intersection of Colorado Boulevard and County Line Road. Chism was found to be in possession of the stolen Hyundai ignition key and the vehicle was recovered nearby. Chism was booked into the Douglas County Jail for investigation of Motor Vehicle Theft, Vehicular Eluding, Obstructing a Peace Officer, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl), Protection Order Violation, and Criminal Impersonation. Douglas County Sheriff Darren Weekly said, “We will not allow criminals to victimize Douglas County residents. We are committed to ensuring the safety and security of our community will continue to work tirelessly to protect our residents and their property. I am so proud of my deputies who responded quickly and didn’t give up until this suspect was in custody.”

The suspect, who is not a resident of Douglas County, is facing charges of second degree burglary, first degree motor vehicle theft, felony eluding and driving under the influence. Douglas County Sheriff Darren Weekly said, “I am proud of my deputies who reacted quickly and took a criminal off the streets. We continue to warn thieves and burglars that Douglas County is not a place where you can victimize our residents, businesses, and places of worship.”

Air1 Assists TPS in Locating Suspects in Shooting Investigation The DRPS Air1 helicopter assisted Toronto Police Service in the arrest of two suspects in a shooting investigation. On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at around 4:00 p.m., officers from Central West Division responded to the area of Thickson Road North and Taunton Road East after receiving information from Toronto Police Service that two suspects involved in a shooting in Toronto earlier that afternoon were in the area. Air1 conducted an aerial search of the area and located the suspect vehicle in a driveway of a residence in Whitby. Shortly after, the vehicle left the residence and Air1 followed the vehicle into Oshawa, providing updates to TPS and DRPS officers on the ground. At one point, the suspect got into another vehicle, which Air1 began to follow. At approximately 5:15 p.m., units were able to box in the vehicle the suspects fled on foot. Air1 followed one suspect, and he was taken into custody. At approximately 6:00 p.m. Air1 located the second suspect in a nearby playground and he was taken into custody. If you are living in a tent or experiencing homelessness, please get to a shelter, or contact 211 for assistance. CASH-IN-TRANSIT HEIST RUSTENBURG Police have launched an investigation following a CITRobbery that occurred at approximately 16:40 on Monday, 16 February 2026, in Old Geelhout Park, Rustenburg. It is alleged that security personnel were travelling in a cash-in-transit vehicle along Kremetart Street when a Toyota Fortuner travelling in the opposite direction collided with the driver’s side door of the cash vehicle. The vehicle was forced to stop and was subsequently blocked by a Toyota Hilux (Legend) double cab bakkie. Approximately 15 armed suspects allegedly overpowered the security officers and instructed them to unlock the doors. The guards were removed from the vehicle, dragged a short distance away from the cash vehicle and made to lie face down on the ground. One armed guard was disarmed while the suspects gained access to the vehicle and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects allegedly set alight both the cash-in-transit vehicle and the Toyota Fortuner used in the collision. Several shots were fired during the incident. The suspects fled the scene, and no injuries were reported. Investigations are ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage. The Acting Provincial Commissioner of the North West, Major General (Dr) Ryno Naidoo, urged members of the public to report serious crimes immediately and cautioned that suspects involved in such crimes are dangerous and should not be confronted. It is alleged that security personnel were travelling in a cash-in-transit vehicle along Kremetart Street when a Toyota Fortuner travelling in the opposite direction collided with the driver’s side door of the cash vehicle. The vehicle was forced to stop and was subsequently blocked by a Toyota Hilux (Legend) double cab bakkie. Approximately 15 armed suspects allegedly overpowered the security officers and instructed them to unlock the doors. The guards were removed from the vehicle, dragged a short distance away from the cash vehicle and made to lie face down on the ground. One armed guard was disarmed while the suspects gained access to the vehicle and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects allegedly set alight both the cash-in-transit vehicle and the Toyota Fortuner used in the collision. Several shots were fired during the incident. The suspects fled the scene, and no injuries were reported. Investigations are ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage. The Acting Provincial Commissioner of the North West, Major General (Dr) Ryno Naidoo, urged members of the public to report serious crimes immediately and cautioned that suspects involved in such crimes are dangerous and should not be confronted.
