I want to share a story and you can make your own conclusions. I just operated on a patient with breast cancer who had tissue expanders placed a couple weeks ago. While recovering at home, she had a seizure and went to the ER. They ordered a brain MRI but here’s the problem: MRIs and tissue expanders don’t mix. Why? Most expanders have metal in the ports. During an MRI, the magnetic force can pull or heat that metal, damaging the expander—or worse, harming the patient. In her case, the expanders tore under the pressure of the scan. She even told them she had expanders in, and felt pain during the MRI. Unfortunately, she’ll need ongoing brain MRIs, so today I removed her expanders so she can safely continue treatment. But the bigger issue here is how a system so large can let something like this happen, even when the patient spoke up. Too often we’re told, “It’s nobody’s fault, it’s the system’s fault.” But patients deserve better. I’m just grateful she wasn’t harmed more, and that we could take care of her today.

260322 TDS4 Day3 #MARK ending ment 🐯 think i had so, so much fun today, and seeing that you all enjoyed it with us too made me really, really happy. the members… aren’t they all so funny and great at talking? anyway, i just want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for enjoying this moment with us until the very end. i’m really relieved that this doesn’t end with this week, and that we get to continue into next week as well. it makes me so happy that we can be a reason for you to feel excited for the week ahead. so thank you for entrusting us with your happiness this week. we’ll prepare well and do our best again for next week. the members are all so good with their words, i don’t even know what i should say (laughs). but lately, we’ve been hearing a lot that this concert gives you the strength to get through another week, and sometimes even that we become the very source of that strength for you. it’s such an honor, and we’re truly so grateful for that. we’ll work hard to become people who can express that gratitude even better. ah, my voice is a bit overworked today since i really went all out (laughs), but anyway, next week too, please come and enjoy it even more energetically and happily, okay?

Thanks Ashish Ashish M. Kamat, MD, MBBS. Your book entitled, "Bladder Cancer: A Practical Guide" says it all. Together we face patients on a day-to-day level in which we have to make decisions in the best interest of the patient with nothing else considered. I was so grateful for you to have shared with me your views on whether CIS and papillary from a clinical perspective was the same disease and also how you treat patients who have failed all BCG and have papillary disease and face losing their bladder to a life-changing operation of cystectomy. I was blown away at this year's #AUA2026 when a researcher presented a slide showing that the morbidity and mortality of a cystectomy exceeds even that of a Whipple in which the pancreas, gallbladder portion of the stomach and spleen are all removed. That blew my mind especially since there is an option to save the bladder. I am posting the segment of our long conversation relating to your views of whether CIS and high grade papillary are treated clinically as the same disease. I was glad to hear the next day at the FDA workshop that your fellow expert colleagues completely agreed with this sentiment that you expressed in our conversation.

Hitting starts WAY before getting into the box. Below are 6 steps that will lead to more consistent hitting… 1. I believe it all starts the night before with a good PM routine leading to a good night of sleep. Know that a great day today started the night before. 2. Have a solid pre-game routine and be consistent with it. (cage work, BP, standing in on bullpens, visualization, journaling, nap, limit screen time, etc.) 3. Know when your at-bat starts so you can segment the game and turn up the intensity of your focus. Is it when you’re in the hole, on deck, when you put your batting gloves on? 4. When you’re on deck, act like you’re in the box. This time is crucial to take control of your self-talk and breath, and get in sync with the pitcher. 5. Walk with big body language to the plate. Whether you are 10 for your last 15 or 0 for your last 15, carry yourself like the most confident version of you at all times. 6. Have a solid pre-pitch routine. Utilize your breath and make sure your self-talk is directing your focus to what you WANT to happen, rather than what you HOPE doesn’t happen. The great part about these steps is that they are all 100% in your control. Be great with them, and you will win the inner war, and you will become a much more consistent hitter.

You all took your precious time to come here but I feel like I've ruined your day. I'm truly so sorry. I'm really sorry. I really wanted to give you all a fun and happy day as a gift. I'm so sorry that I couldn't show you my best side. I'm truly sorry once again for making you feel this way... I'll repay you by showing you a better version of myself. I promise. I'm sorry.. The atmosphere became so heavy. I don't usually cry on stage. Other than when I was very young, I haven't cried like this... I always want to show you my bright, healthy, and best side, so I'm sorry you had to see me like this. I'll work even harder. It's because when I was singing "Help" earlier, I saw some of you crying. Of course, I was heartbroken too, but seeing how upset all of you were made me think, "I feel like I've really ruined your time today." The truth is, when people come to a concert, they come to have fun and be happy. They come hoping to heal from the stress of everyday life and find comfort.
