The completion of Punjab’s two year afforestation mission stands among the most significant environmental achievements in our province’s history. Two years ago, we pledged to give Punjab back its forests. Today, by the grace of Allah, that promise stands fulfilled: from April 2024 to Spring 2026, nearly 50 million trees have been planted across 54,986 acres of Punjab. From Muzaffargarh to Murree, Chichawatni to Faisalabad, and Rahim Yar Khan to Gujranwala, landscapes once fading are turning green again. The Green Electric Bus Command and Control Center Punjab has started operations. This center serves as the hub for monitoring and managing the entire bus system. From here, every bus is monitored to ensure timely arrivals and departures, improved routes, and reduced waiting times for passengers. Drivers are monitored through onboard cameras and advanced AI systems, and if a driver shows signs of drowsiness or inattention, they are immediately alerted. Special attention is being given to the women’s compartments to ensure they are protected from harassment and can travel safely and without fear. Travel is now cashless and paperless through T-Cash cards. This system helps continuously improve services using data. Steps are also being taken to protect the environment by shifting towards solar energy, while safe and comfortable travel, especially for women, children, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities remains a top priority. This is clean, economical, safe, and modern public transport for Punjab.

At Sanbai Mountain in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, 65-year-old Gong Longshou has been guarding the mountains for 44 years.
