I am once again back to bitch about how horrific TSA and American air travel is. After I turned down facial recognition, the TSA agent couldn’t “verify” my REAL ID (that I waited 3 hours at the DMV to get) because his computer was glitching and wouldn’t recognize it. It has a photo of my face on it and the BIG ASS GOVERNMENT APPROVED STAR ON THE CORNER but that’s still not enough. I’ve never seen a competitor to EVject and at first glance this one is pretty compelling because it’s not single use. It appears to be a spring loaded device that pops off when you unlock your Tesla’s charge port. That being said it appears to be 3D printed, low quality, and they sell it for $85. According to reviews it doesn’t even fit the Cybertruck and doesn’t support various adapters. Plus people claim it doesn’t even work with home chargers because it’s not the same shape charging handle as a supercharger. I would assume EVject thought about all this and that’s why they designed the breakaway adaptor that would offer the most compatibility and be the most reliable.
