They are asking the Deputy Speaker to read what is actually written in the clause line by line. Instead of doing that, he keeps going ahead and only mentioning the numbers. What is in the clause? Tell us, read it out. What if the content has been altered? This is very wrong. When did Nigeria turn to this? Is this what you folks call democracy? This is hogwash! We have been hijacked by criminals.

DANGOTE REFINERY TARGETS SEPTEMBER IPO LAUNCH President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, says the Dangote Refinery is targeting a September launch for its Initial Public Offering, IPO, following what he described as overwhelming investor demand running into billions of dollars. Dangote disclosed this during a visit by the management of First Bank to the refinery complex in Lagos, where discussions centred on investment opportunities and the future growth of the refinery business. This particular statement in this video clip is sensational, misleading, baseless and downright stupid to say the Nigerian govt wants to pull Dangote refinery down. I wish this anchor would juxtapose the facts on ground and our Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act (FCCPA) of 2018 and he will appreciate the obligation the regulator has to ensure competition and no monopoly or market dominance. There may be a crisis of confidence in that industry, but the reason Dangote refinery is a success today is because of the support of this government

The price of fuel is heading towards N2000, and we know this was caused by the war going on between the USA, Israel, and Iran. Whenever the crude oil price goes much more than the protected benchmark in our budget, what happens is that it leads to excess funds for the government. So, let the government take that excess fund that was never budgeted for and use at least 60% to subsidise the crude being supplied to Dangote Refinery. When that is done, the cost of the feedstock to Dangote Refinery will reduce, and this will result in the gantry price of petrol reducing. ~ TUC President Festus Osifo urges the federal government
