We drove a few hours after the races last night. Went to bed just after 3am. Up at 7am and driving the rest of the way to the High Limit Racing races tonight. Winning is why we are in this sport but last night's win is hard to celebrate. That’s why I didn’t get up on the wing. I like to be raced hard but fair and I hate for anyone to go home with torn up equipment. Sprint Car racing is very humbling. Tonight is a new night. Thank you to all of my supporters who continue to ride this wave with me.

I was pretty excited to race at Five Flags Speedway for the first time! I knew there’d be a lot to learn, but I was ready for the challenge. Rackley WAR brought a fast car and we qualified on the pole! The top eight had to redraw for starting positions, and I wound up starting 5th. I managed to race most of the night inside the top six, learning how to pace myself and manage my tires. With a couple laps to go I accidentally made contact with another car who got loose in front of me. I appreciate Matt Craig coming over after the race to talk to me. I was even happier he knew I didn’t do it on purpose! He was super cool and I can learn a lot from veterans like him. Whelp… the year is not going as planned. We’re getting another machine. We’re roughly $30k deep into repairs this year on the 2019 Bobcat and it has run for only a few hours all year. It’s on its 4th or 5th service visit since the season started. We get it back, run it for an hour or two, get another major breakdown, and take it right back to the dealer. So we’re picking up another TL12 tomorrow. We could have made 12 payments on it just in the repair expenses we’ve had at Bobcat this year alone. So much for no new equipment this year 🤦‍♂️ The 2019 Bobcat is just going to be running grapples, power rakes, and plows.

George Russell Post Race Interview🏁 "There's only three tenths between the quickest car and the slowest car and the top six and normally you need at least half a second to overtake so if I came out of Turn 1 in P3 I'd have been on the podium today but instead I came out in P6 and I finished P6. Red Bull are going to be ahead of us. It swings so quickly. Ferrari qualified ninth and tenth in the sprint race. If that was the main race that would have been a lot of points to us and they'd have had a bad weekend. And as I said, it's such fine margins. If I was 20 milliseconds quicker in qualifying yesterday I'd have been on the front row and probably on course to finish second in the race. As I said, the qualifying is massive, Turn 1 is massive and I don't even remember the last two-stop race in F1 now. It's just quite processional unfortunately. I think Qatar and Vegas realistically are our two best shots but again it all just comes down to the lap in qualifying. If you do the job, just comes down to that lap in qualifying. If you do a really strong lap and you're on the front row you can hold the position and if you don't it's going to be the same in Mexico. FT Spurs 2-0 Brentford Finally a great win at home and a very good one it was to. The fans so deserved this win coupled with Arsenal losing it’s been a great day for us. You can’t fault the performance and the team effort but if you’re trying to I can’t help you. No mention of XG today thankfully. We were aggressive in the tackle fought for every 1st and second ball we were so strong in the challenge playing on the front foot. Our passing was crisp and swift. Xavi had a great MoM game with a lovely assist and a great run and finish. Richarlison has done so well today with the press and his passing and hold up and that’s another goal for him. Thought Bentancur had been excellent with Archie Gray in the middle. Micky’s tackling today has been absolutely on fire. Kudus has been excellent on the ball and finally DJed did well but should have buried his chance. Let’s keep this going happy days at last I’m going to enjoy the weekend. #COYS 🤍💙

FT Bodø Glimt 2 -2 Spurs Well that was easily our worst performance of the season so far. Was it a combination of Frank’s team selection the players individual performances and the pitch ? probably. Whatever happened tonight it could have been so much worse with them missing a penalty and blasting over right in front of goal. Bodø were superb tonight Hauge scored 2 terrific goals their second was so badly defended by us especially Vicario Spence & Porro. There was nobody out there on the pitch tonight than can get away without severe criticism ok maybe Archie Gray. Bodø will continue to cause havoc to teams at home. I guess the only positive we showed resilience to fight our way back into the game. They’ve only lost 1 of their last 17 games. When all said and done somehow we got an extremely valuable and undeserved draw and a UCL point. We are 4th in the EPL and the UCL just now 🤷🏻‍♂️ We move on #COYS 🤍

"Just a good, solid night. Obviously want more, but it was good enough for sixth." Asked Bubba a bit about what it was like running a way longer race at North Wilkesboro compared to the All-Star Races here. He admitted he was surprised how few cars finished on the lead lap - There were only six, and he was the last one. Realized this post never uploaded to X earlier today, so better late than never race recap. Great day at the world-famous Bristol Motor Speedway yesterday. Being my first ever time there I knew it would be a huge uphill battle. We struggled big time in practice and qualifying, made some huge adjustments, and my favorite line of the night to my crew chief Nate, “I don’t care which way you go with adjustments just make it big.” We fired off a lot better out of the gate at the drop of the green and found ourselves moving up through the field. We got in a really good rhythm and found ourselves in a 4-5 way battle for 22nd-23rd. We were at the front end of the battle when we blew a power steering line in the middle of turn one and two. That might’ve been one of the sketchiest moments of my career, just suddenly loosing power steering in the middle of the corner at Bristol is highly not recommended. I tried to go back out and just work through it, but we were leaking too much fluid and ARCA wouldn’t let us. Ultimately we finished 29th with just a couple scratches on the car here and there. Next up, we’re back to one of my favorite tracks of all time, Salem Speedway on the 20th. Lewis Hamilton interview with Sky Sport after the race at Hungary Lewis: yeah, I definitely don't think we should have taken the stop, um, but the call came literally just before the pit lane entry and I didn't have time to debate. And you've got to trust that there's a decision that's been taken, but in hindsight, my tyres were totally fine. I was probably going to lose out to Max, but I think I could have kept third, at least. And then, yeah, just open up the door to obviously the penalty that I got at the end. Interviewer: bigger picture though is we're second in the standings. Got another 12, 13 races to go, and the car looks like it's steadily improving. George's Post-Quali Interview🏁 "We were quickest in FP3, quickest in Q1, quickest in Q2 and I had an issue with the power steering in Q3 and qualified fourth.:Lando did an amazing job and these conditions are obviously very challenging and ultimately it always comes down to that last lap. That last lap is key and unfortunately in Q3 I had this problem. So I'm not saying I would have been there with Lando who clearly did an amazing job but it was just a shame. But it went away from us at the key moment of the day. I jumped out the car 10 minutes ago but just suddenly on one lap I didn't hit a wall or anything but the steering got really heavy. Every time I was sliding I couldn't control, it was like getting locked in position. So on my last lap I was talking with the engineer making sure it's even safe to drive because when you're doing 230 miles an hour down the straight and you think maybe the wheel might fall off or something might happen, it's a bit concerning and it doesn't give you the most amount of confidence to send it around the corner. So as I said, I am disappointed. We looked quick, it just didn't come together but P4 is not a bad place. I think we've got a chance. I think we'll be in the fight. I don't think there'll be a big pace difference between the three teams at the front. I can't say which way, like who's going to be the quickest or who's going to be the slowest but I'll be surprised if the spread is more than a tenth of a second between the three teams. McLaren's Chief Designer Rob Marshall explains the new MCL40 design: “It's all new car, front to back. New regulations. As people have touched upon, the car's a bit shorter. It's actually quite a lot shorter than previous cars, a lot lighter, coupled with a brand new power unit, 50-50 hybrid, and a new set of air regulations designed to try and reduce the size of the weight behind the car, make overtaking a bit easier. If you start from the front, the new front wing is still sort of arrowhead like the previous generation, but it's a bit lower and have a much broader and wider footplate, end plate, than we used to have. And also the front wing is now actuated much like the old DRS. These new cars have got a straight line mode where both the front and rear wings will move their flaps to reduce the drag on the car and help the car get down the straights faster. There's quite a lot of freedom in how you actuate that. I think we'll see different solutions from different cars on the grid. Moving a bit further back, you've got the crash structure, which is basically from here to here. That's all new again. The regulations have changed this year where we need to make sure that after a small shunt that's enough to knock the front wing off, maybe the front half of the nose, the remaining part still serves its function as saving the driver in a secondary crash against another barrier. So that's significantly complicated the design work going into the nose. And then we've got front suspension - again, last year's front suspension was I think very innovative and so is this. We've done quite a few changes which I hope benefit us. And as we go rearward and we've got the main body of the chassis. Again, all new regulations, much tougher homologation requirements. So the crash tests and the squeezes that go into the chassis are quite brutal this year. And a lot of effort and research has gone in to try and make the car able to withstand those. Also, as I touched upon, the car is so much shorter. So a lot of the packaging of where radiators and electrical boxes, which were typically scattered around the car, finding homes for those has been very difficult. There's just less space to put them all. What's helped us there is the fuel tank is a bit smaller. We're going to use less fuel in the race. From an aerodynamic point of view, in this region here, gone are the very curved underfloors that we had with last year's cars. We're replaced with a much more flat bottom car like we had in previous generations. And then as we go rearward again, our rear suspension is actually a bit of an iteration of last year's. We're very happy with what we did last year, and so we just built upon that. Redesigned the gearbox to make it lighter and shorter for the obvious reasons. And then the rear wing is similar-ish to last year's, and the actuation mechanism is a bit like old-school DRS, but it's now mounted on two pylons, and yeah, it will now operate in conjunction with the front wing, as I said.”

Was it ever in doubt? 🤣 We are in the top 4 in the Champions League unbelievable you just cannot criticise our European performances. Look at the calibre of the clubs below us.
