Workouts to shooting success in games is because their preparation and release in training isn’t as fast as it is in games. You’ll see great shooters like Steph push themselves to prepare quickly and then release the ball with pace, just like they would do in games. WR Secondary Release Drill - Release drills should be treated as everyday drills that are performed at least twice a week with wide receivers and defensive backs. - Coaches should set up drills in the boundary area to simulate a lack of space, using a cone placed approximately six yards downfield. - The primary objective of any release is to be both fast and physical when getting off the line of scrimmage. - Wide receivers must wait to make their move until they have closed the cushion and are right on the defensive back's toes. - Executing a move too early allows the defender time and ground to recover, even if they initially lean or rock in the wrong direction. - After the release, receivers must focus on getting their chest out of the way, using physical hand techniques to stack the defender and return to their line as quickly as possible. First, you have to put massive amounts of hardware, cooling systems, and power into space. Then you have to completely reengineer the data center for space. Then you have to think about maintenance. Oh, and cooling these things down in a vacuum is no easy task. Full Video: #datacenter #space

I often feel like the dialogue around Derik Queen, is that he doesn’t provide spacing as a shooter, so he is talked about as a more traditional back to the basket guy. And while I think his footwork on the block is sick, Queen is also a pretty devastating slasher from the perimeter— utilizing the same sick footwork, a tight handle, long smooth strides, the ability to handle contact, and the ability to finish with power or touch. So even if he isn’t stretching the floor yet, Queen can still attack space comfortably, as he’s able to take advantage when teams send two to the ball, make quick decisions when the ball swings his way on the weakside, or just straight up use his handle to beat dudes off the bounce. Yes, he’s a big bodied dude, but he’s quick and agile and when placed in an ecosystem with even more space at the next level, I think he’s going to prove super versatile in how teams can utilize him in different parts of the floor.
