We had a company vehicle stolen from our Westminster location several weeks ago. Last week we received a parking ticket from our 'friends' in the Denver police department. They ticketed our stolen vehicle after it was listed as stolen and wanted us to pay the ticket.

People always complaining about officer involved shootings. These criminals are lucky there isn’t more. I think officers show restraint more than an average citizen would.

🚨 Stolen Vehicle Pursuit Ends in Arrest 🚔 Graves B deputies were alerted by a Flock camera to a stolen vehicle. Deputies quickly responded and located the vehicle, which was parked at an apartment complex. As one deputy waited for backup, the suspect unexpectedly drove off. Deputies began searching the area for the car and located it parked in a strip mall’s lot. Deputies formulated a plan and blocked the vehicle in the parking spot. Deputies took the driver and rear passenger into custody without incident, then located the 3rd passenger walking the strip mall's parking lot and took her into custody without incident. Our deputies recently received a Flock hit on a stolen Chevy Silverado in the Evergreen area. The driver attempted to evade deputies by using side streets and back roads, but with the help of some well-placed stop sticks, we were able to slow the vehicle down after disabling multiple tires. A JSCO sergeant used the Grappler Police Bumper to safely bring the vehicle to a stop near Morrison Rd. and C-470. The driver made one last attempt to flee on foot, which also didn’t work. The suspect was eventually tased and taken into custody. The individual had an active warrant, was driving under restraint, and now faces charges for vehicular eluding, resisting arrest, aggravated motor vehicle theft, careless driving, and possession of a controlled substance. Great teamwork by all involved. It’s what we do.

What started as a FLOCK alert for a stolen vehicle quickly turned into a coordinated response by Officers on the ground. After locating the vehicle and confirming it was stolen, one of our officers attempted a traffic stop. The suspect chose to flee. Rather than initiate a pursuit, the officers deployed a GPS tracking device and monitored the vehicle from a safe distance. A short time later, the vehicle came to a stop in a nearby neighborhood. Officers moved in and located the suspect nearby. He attempted to run but was quickly taken into custody. During the arrest, Officers recovered a firearm from the suspect’s backpack, along with marijuana. The suspect showed signs of impairment, and a warrant for a blood draw was obtained. This is what it looks like when training, technology, and teamwork come together. A dangerous situation brought under control without the need for a pursuit, reducing risk for everyone involved.

As officers arrived, the suspect exited through an emergency exit with a bag of loot and ran towards a waiting car. The getaway car saw the police car and bailed on their partner. The suspect then dropped the bag and started running. After a foot pursuit through the parking lot, the suspect was taken into custody. The suspect vehicle was able to avoid capture (for the time being), however, all $1,779.79 of the merchandise was recovered. The suspect, who is on parole for being a felon who possessed a firearm, was booked for grand theft, organized retail theft, conspiracy, and put on a parole hold.

According to the original incident report, two deputies responded to an agency assist after reports of a vehicle traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of I-15 near mile marker 263. Deputies located the vehicle near mile marker 269. One deputy struck the driver’s side of the vehicle, spinning it into another deputy’s patrol car, which prevented the wrong-way vehicle from reentering traffic. Both deputies and both occupants of the vehicle were not injured. All three vehicles sustained damage. Utah Highway Patrol took over the crash investigation and investigated the driver for DUI. The Utah County Sheriff’s Office said the incident happened shortly after 4 a.m. on Jan. 24, calling wrong-way driving a recurring and dangerous problem on Utah roadways. The sheriff’s office praised the deputies for putting themselves in harm’s way and said it is grateful no one was hurt. UHP continues to handle the crash and DUI investigation.

Last night, #DCSO patrol deputies demonstrated exceptional skill, teamwork, and coordination in recovering a stolen vehicle and apprehending two suspects. The driver tried to get away, but was caught after a short pursuit that ended on Castle Pines Parkway and I25. No one was injured. Two suspects were taken into custody and are facing multiple charges. We commend our deputies for their dedication to keeping Douglas County safe. #HonorServiceValor

On March 16, 2026, at approximately 11:15 a.m., Dallas Police officers assigned to the Project Safe Neighborhood Task Force located a vehicle that was reported stolen in an armed carjacking on March 15. The officers called for additional units and AIR-1 to maintain visual contact with the vehicle before attempting a traffic stop in the 12300 block of Greenville Avenue. As officers approached and ordered the driver to exit the vehicle, the car took off, and the officers immediately began to pursue it. With AIR-1 overhead, the suspect drove the wrong way down Greenville Avenue, and officers chased the driver onto I-635 with the suspect’s speed approaching 120 miles per hour. The suspect exited the freeway at Jupiter Road and continued to speed through residential areas. Because the helicopter was tracking the suspect, officers were able to safely navigate the residential areas and surface streets, following the suspect back onto I-635. The suspect sped through a construction zone, again reaching speeds over 100 miles per hour until he exited on Town East Boulevard and headed into the City of Mesquite, driving into oncoming traffic into the 2000 block of Town East Boulevard. With traffic building ahead, the suspect attempted to drive over the median and his vehicle became disabled. Dallas Police officers, assisted by officers from Mesquite and deputies from the Dallas Sheriff’s Office, took the suspect into custody. He was identified as 46-year-old Alfredo Hernandez and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, a state jail felony; Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle, a third-degree felony; Manufacture / Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a second-degree felony; and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon, a third-degree felony. Additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues. This investigation is documented under case number 037178-2026.
