Ironically, statistically speaking, this young woman has likely never been safer. Imagine if a white girl got on a train with only black people & posted a video talking about how scared she was. She would be fired from her job. Kicked out of her university. Publicly shamed. And smeared as a RaCiSt. The crazy thing is, the white girl would actually have statistical evidence to demonstrate that it is perfectly reasonable to fear in that situation. Common sense & pattern recognition have now become “racist.”

since this is clearly being twisted, he’s clearly not talking about the ‘2021 battle’ itself but about how lewis’ advice on being aggressive with max is easier to apply back then when it was just two fighting. cause if both went down, no one gained. but now with a third in the mix, it’s different and one mistake by both helps the third. he’s completely right and he still acknowledged lewis’ advice with genuine respect, something he doesn’t hand out lightly ESPECIALLY to someone whose advice he doesn’t truly believe in.

I’m sitting in this damn Intercity Express train (15549). Just calling it ‘Express’ is a joke! The train is filthy, and the smell is horrible, it’s disgusting! There’s dirty water collected everywhere, and people are being forced to sit in it like animals. We pay so much tax, and still, this is the crap we get for travel? Government officers and ministers ride clean, fancy trains, and we the common people, get dumped in this garbage on wheels. Even after paying a premium price, this is the shit we have to deal with. “The game doesn’t stink. It’s a great game.” I’m tired of all these old heads disrespecting baseball. I was obsessed with it at 6 years old, as a teenager, in college, and still am. They’ve been bitching about it since Babe Ruth started hitting homers and killed the Baltimore chop. They have literally been talking about baseball dying for over a century. “Baseball is dead” is literally as old as the game itself. It’s almost like it’s part of it.

Some thoughts while training this morning: 1) I actually don’t like getting up to train at 6am. But I do what needs to be done, and with a young family I want to spend time with I’d rather take time away from myself and train while they sleep 2) See your training as a meeting with yourself; this is an idea you might have seen thrown about. I put all my sessions in a calendar - when it’s in black and white it makes it easier to just get it done. Mood always follows action, too Have a good week friends 🫡🌱

New York and Chicago are two big hubs in the eastern US. Distance: 800 miles or 1300km roughly. Same as Delhi - Mumbai in India. There are 3 ways to travel. You can fly. You can drive. Or you can take a train. Fastest train is Amtrak lakeshore which takes ~19hrs. Driving takes 14hrs but you need to rest as well. I love trains. So I decided to take Amtrak. Their sleeper class. Took a roomette. First of all - American trains run on standard gauge. Which is smaller than Indian broad gauge. The compartments are smaller. And the trains are less comfortable. They shake way more. Second - Americans really don’t understand passenger trains. This train left late and then sat on a random station for 30mins. It’s already running late and usually reaches 2-3 even 5hrs delayed. And this is supposed to be a premium train. Culprit ? Freight. Americans don’t have dedicated fright tracks. The train btw is full. Which means people do want to travel on it. All sorts of people. Old, young. Business travellers. Only 2 coaches are sleeper - rest are coach (chaircars). Then the train reaches Albani and has to merge with another train from boston. Whole process takes 30-45mins. Can you believe a major train just sitting off a closed platform, cutting off its engines and adding more bogies in the middle of its journey in India ? The train had power supply for 30 mins cause it’s powered by diesel engines. Which are cut off. Diesel engine. Yes. The entire route except parts of NYC is non electric. It’s all old school diesel. It slowly chugs after and stops everywhere it can. Like an old Indian passenger train. The cabin is decent as it should be for a $700 price. The food is microwaved prepackaged stuff - ie very bad. There’s a coach attendant but he doesn’t care. I’ve travelled extensively in Rajdhani - and I can tell you it’s high luxury compared to this. And for 1/10th the price. The food, the cabin - all are superior. The reason I’m bringing this up is not to say Indians know it better. Not at all. But that even the most advanced cultures get it wrong. Even the most sorted out people - the one most advanced in tech - somehow don’t know how to run cross-country trains at scale. And this is not even a cross country trip. Hardly 1/4th of it. So what did they get wrong ? They stopped building. Upgrading. Improving. They do a few things right. Like making good highways. Take that learning. They do many things wrong. Like this train. They’ve stopped building. No dedicated freight tracks. No magnificent new stations. No high speed rail. The only lesson to learn is to not make that mistake. Build. And keep building. There’s no substitute to that. Keep building. Keep upgrading. Keep improving.

These are the reasons I believe #WithLoveMeghan failed. 1) #MeghanMarkle’s unlikability. She doesn’t know how to connect or engage with people. Anyone. She doesn’t try to find common ground or ask questions about the person. 2) The format. Markle talking to an invisible someone off camera feels very disengaged. You feel like a passive observer-she’s not engaging or including the viewer. 3) Is she teaching or learning? She’s doing things she’s never done but acts like she’s teaching how to do it. There’s no humility with “let’s learn this together”. 4) Zero chemistry with her guests. None. Not even the people she knows. 5) She’s very offputting. She has this weird stiff formality that ages her and makes her intangible and unrelatable. She’s tightly wound. Idk why she thinks this is her forté, it’s not. Let’s talk about RIR, or reps in reserve. I felt like I could get 1 more at 4 reps, yet dug deep and got almost 3 more. If I had Dorian Yates yelling at me, I could have probably gotten 10 more. The issue with these arbitrary rules like RIR and RPE is they don’t account for the mental aspect of lifting. Hence why, since I’m obviously not as smart and awesome as “the science” community and my pro card was a fluke, and I certainly can’t read studies or even the menu at IHOP, I just go until I can’t do another full rep with decent form. Most people train like p*ssies already. Imagine trying to have someone soft as charmin guess how many reps they have left at 4 reps in. Stop overthinking it. No need to go beyond failure, but just lift the damn weight until you can’t do a good rep and then put it down. Or not, whatever. 😂
