This workflow is perfect for creating short fashion-style cinematic videos. I simplified the original prompts based on willie’s method, and the whole process is now much faster and more stable: 1. Generate a 3×3 keyframe grid (Nano Banana Pro only) Use this simple prompt: “In a 3x3 grid, show this character in different angles, keep the scene the same, random poses. This is far simpler and more efficient than my old prompts. You can generate multiple times and just pick the keyframes you like most. 2. Extract a high-res keyframe (Super stable trick) Take a screenshot of the keyframe you want from the 3×3 grid, send it back to Nano Banana Pro, and simply say: “Give me a high-resolution version.” This method is much more stable than relying on complex upscaling prompts. 3. Generate the video with Kling 2.5 Turbo Upload the first and last frames to Kling 2.5 Turbo and use this prompt: “The camera very slowly and smoothly lowers on a boom.” From my testing, Kling 2.5 Turbo offers the best balance of stability and cost — other models are either less consistent or noticeably more expensive. 4. Final speed adjustment with willie’s tool (Critical step) Use the tool built by willie to fine-tune the playback speed of each clip. This step is essential for getting that premium cinematic feel. I’ll drop the tool link in the comments.

Something really cool happened in swimming this week. After 16 years, the 50m free world record got broken by Australian swimmer McEvoy. What’s very interesting is the approach he has been following for a few years now. Super low volume (2-3 sessions per week, less than 1000m per sessions which some swimmers do more than just for warm up) in a pool with cameras and other devices to track different values and of course getting stronger with weights.

a lot of visual identities fall apart the moment you remove the logo. so here’s friendly advice I wish someone drilled into me earlier: run every visual identity through the Three-Post Test. What is it? Design three social media posts in the new visual identity. (btw, you can now easily design and export social media assets directly in Framer) Or, design three posters. (a tip that Jessica Strelioff’s also recently shared!) Then, the important step: remove the logo. Now, look at them like a stranger would. If you’re trying to get out of junior design mode — ask yourself: 1. without the logo, do these three posts still obviously belong together? Follow up with: 2. can I easily point to repeating rules (layout, type behavior, spacing, color logic, ...)? 3. could another designer easily continue this system without me in the room? If you answer 1. no 2. nope 3. uhmmm, not sure then you’re in trouble. If the logo disappears and the connection goes with it, that’s your signal: you don’t have a visual system yet, just three nice visual pieces. maybe a very nice logo, too. So, run this test early, save yourself time later.

Sub Institutional GC work is good. Ive said it before. This was a $26k job. Remove all the offices, install a new door to the warehouse, raise the fire sprinklers, grind and seal the floors. 5 day job. The owner "should" have done LED lighting, drywall patch and paint all the walls under my scope which was another $13,000 but he said he had a friend who would do it cheaper, which is ok. On the smaller, owner direct jobs you have to be ok with partial scopes. If they have a friend who does one of the trades, they are going to use them regardless of price. All to say, it's good work. It's profitable. 3 jobs this month paid more than our best house flip in the last 3 years.

Made a quick haptic feedback prototype for hand-tracking interactions with a voxel. Felt fun and engaging. It's another level of immersiveness (unfortunately, the video is not able to convey this). Visual design alone can make an interactive experience great, but if you want to make it exceptional, DIFFERENT, this is where haptic design plays the key role. The device on my wrist is from the Hapticlabs.io Prototyping Kit (the thing on my index fingertip is called Linear Resonant Actuator). It's a beautiful, simple-to-use tool. Found a good case for it in my experiments :) To get hand-tracking data, I used the Leap Motion controller (Computer Vision Camera), which is excellent for quick prototypes like this. I saw people experimenting with gloves to build a solid haptic feedback system for XR. It's great for advanced immersive experiences (video games/simulators/interactive entertainment). But for many day-to-day use cases (productivity/OS/media entertainment), having just a "simple" thimble that provides the haptic feedback for the "touching" fingertip will already significantly improve the UX. Hope we will have something like this from our major XR vendors in the near future.

Want your child to take an interest in literacy? Remember that in child development you reap what you sow. Daily reading (ideally configured face-to-face) is a wonderful way to plant the seeds of language and literacy with your baby from their earliest days. Not only will reading together substantially boost your child’s vocabulary over time, but it illustrates a powerful lesson: this is something YOU value and enjoy. And as I’ve written a thousand times, your baby wants nothing more than to be just like you. Don’t be discouraged as you get started. Infants have very short attention spans and will initially spend more time attuned to you than the book (hence the face to face), and may seek to explore books first with their mouths (which is why sturdy, laminated board books are a great first choice). Daily reading (ideally configured face-to-face) is a wonderful way to plant the seeds of language and literacy with your baby from their earliest days. Not only will reading together substantially boost your child’s vocabulary over time, but it illustrates a powerful lesson: this is something YOU value and enjoy. And as I’ve written a thousand times, your baby wants nothing more than to be just like you. Don’t be discouraged as you get started. Infants have very short attention spans and will initially spend more time attuned to you than the book (hence the face to face), and may seek to explore books first with their mouths (which is why sturdy, laminated board books are a great first choice). Don’t let any of this deter you. Start small. But start. And make reading a part of your daily routine. As this lovely video shared to IG by sophia.s.playroom illustrates, the benefits can be huge.

“They vote for me now, all of the Bobby people are gonna vote for me.” MAGA please listen up. RFK supporters don’t owe Trump their vote just because RFK has endorsed Trump. Many RFK supporters don’t believe they can trust Trump and are on the fence. Would all Trump supporters support Nikki Haley if Trump randomly endorsed her? This isn’t a perfect analogy but you get the point. This whole “you need to vote for Trump or else you will help Kamala win” BS is what makes RFK supporters hesitant to vote for Trump. They hate the tribalism, and the them versus us mindset. Now a majority of MAGA has been great and all for Unity and rational thought. As with any group there are some bad actors which make it bad for everyone. It’s critical that MAGA call these people out who have been attacking RFK supporters for being hesitant to vote for Trump recently. Trump himself has also got to do a much better job persuading RFK supporters. As of late he has just been referring to RFK as a “good team player” and saying “all RFK’s voters will vote for me,” which is possibly the worse thing he could say to persuade on the fence RFK supporters. RFK’s supporters are filled with people from just about every part of the political spectrum, with a few common beliefs including that the two party system continually lets us down. So now it’s Trump’s job to persuade this group that the system they believe is corrupt (which it is) will be different under him. To be clear I’m not saying it won’t be different under him, but Trump has to make people believe that. In these battleground states where RFK just got removed and people were still planning on voting RFK, these are politically homeless voters now, they are not automatically Trump voters. They have just as high of a chance to vote for Harris. Attacking these people and calling their friends or influencers they follow idiots will only push them away. This isn’t a post to attack MAGA. This entire account was created for political unity between groups such as MAGA and RFK supporters. I just see a common trend starting to happen and have many disenfranchised RFK supporters reaching out to me saying they have no idea what to do. Long story short, if Trump wants to win this election, he needs the RFK voters in swing states. These are not votes that will just be handed to Trump, and if he thinks they are he’s going to send a lot of voters to Harris. Unity isn’t “your guy endorsed me so now you vote for me.” Unity is “I realize we’ve had our differences in the past, but I have grown and I promise to represent you to the best of my abilities.” MAHA will either be the future of politics or blow up internally, at the moment it’s a coin flip of which one will happen.
