Earth and the Moon appear together in the vastness of space, forming one of the most iconic views in our solar system. Earth shines with its vibrant blue oceans and swirling clouds, while the Moon reflects sunlight as a quiet and distant companion. Despite the distance between them, their connection is powerful, with gravity keeping them bound in a constant relationship. The Moon plays a key role in stabilizing Earth and influencing tides. This view reminds us of the beauty of our cosmic neighborhood and the delicate balance that exists between these two worlds. A simple yet powerful perspective of our place in space. #nasa #space #spacex

Earth's thin atmosphere shows up as a blue line against the dark of space, with a distant crescent Moon beyond. The view comes from the International Space Station, where the air that sustains life on the planet looks like a narrow rim along the horizon.

In 1959 a capsule with a 16mm camera was launched aboard a Thor missile. Designed to record footage of the missile, the engineers realized the device could record images of the Earth too. So this the first video footage of Earth from space on a 16mm film

“When you look at the Earth from space, you realize that our planet is a beautiful, interconnected system. We are all in this together.” - Mae Jemison, Space Shuttle NASA astronaut This time-lapse taken aboard the International Space Station shows a blanket of stars surrounding our Earth. The view is one that is known to create a moment of pause in appreciation of the beauty of our shared home. #WorldViewWednesday

Spectacular view. If you missed this the first time just minutes ago, here's your chance to see it again. A crescent Earth setting behind a crescent moon. Orion loses contact just as the Earth sets. This was planned and will last 40 minutes. Any idea how they faked this?

NASA claims this footage is from Mars. The average distance between Earth and Mars is 140 million miles. How did NASA transmit the footage 140,000,000 miles through space, back to Earth? Or is the footage fake? What do you think?
