On Tuesday, I joined the Wellbeing Foundation Africa Foundation Global Team in virtually attending the World Health Organization Civil Society Commission Annual General Meeting, in our capacity as a participating World Health Organization (WHO) Civil Society Commission member. The meeting convened civil society leaders and global health actors to reflect on recent progress and to explore strategic priorities for the year ahead, with an aim to deepen engagement across regional, national, and global platforms. Discussions included updates from the Secretariat and working group co-chairs, focused reflections on regional mobilisation, and a timely briefing on the evolving global health landscape from Dr Catharina Boehme, Assistant Director-General for External Relations at WHO. The Wellbeing Foundation Africa Foundation contributes actively to both the Communications Working Group and Working Group 2 of the Commission, strengthening structured collaboration between civil society and WHO technical departments to ensure that community-based perspectives and frontline experience meaningfully inform global health decision-making. The AGM concluded with live remarks and an interactive exchange with WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, who reaffirmed the essential role of civil society in advancing equity, accountability, and inclusive participation. His engagement marked a renewed momentum for forthcoming Director-General Civil Society Organisation Dialogues and Consultations. Through our membership and work with the #WHOCSOCommission, and as a consultative partner to the United Nations Economic and Social Council United NationsECOSOC, a WHO-accredited non-State actor to the Regional Committee for Africa World Health Organization (WHO)AFRO, a contributor to the WHO/United NationsICEF #WASH in Health Care Facilities initiative, the #IBPNetwork, and the UN UN Global Compact, the Wellbeing Foundation Africa remains resolute in its mission to champion the rights, dignity, and wellbeing of every mother, every child, and every family. #HealthForAll #WellbeingForAll
