Truly disgusting that they have to play less than 8 hours after learning their former teammate had died. The Crows were given 2 points and a week off for Phil Walsh. Always different rules for Fremantle.

Wouldve thought @ the very least the Cats and Power players could put some black tape around their arms. You could script a press conference for coaches last week, put your nose in every issue bar men's mental health, at the very least get ALL teams to wear a arm band. R.I.P

It’s invasive & inappropriate that you zoom in on their faces during a tribute to their dead friend… It’s weird how normalised these intrusive shots are in the afl. I think back to last year when Toby Greene was crying into his partners arms & you shoved a camera in his face…

How could you not shed a tear or many. Gosh this would’ve been the hardest thing for Freo to do but well done boys for fronting up and playing the way Cam would’ve been proud.

How many more young men do we need to lose before the @AFL stands up and genuinely address the root causes of footballers mental health. No more bandaids and placates @AFL. We should be demanding real and sustainable action!

Are you considering the mental health of these players, surely they should be left to grieve off a field? The match could have been played another day.

I felt so heartbroken for all the players and the fact that like all other workers they can't just grieve and have to keep a brave face and still play tonight. It must have been incredibly hard for them 😔 and even though they lost, they made me feel so proud. #ForeverFreo

Tough to watch with the grief for everyone involved only being a few hours old. Thoughts are with all.

What round is Men’s Mental Health round? One where players and supporters can come together and start more conversations and share ideas to help stop the terrible toll of male suicide? Not just one game but across 9 games. For a week.

Game should have been postponed, that’s hard to watch let alone having to play with that weight on you
