I have my kids all this week for their spring break while I’m healing from back surgery (L4-L5 microdiscectomy) I tried to use a jelly donut tonight to show my daughter how my herniated disc happened, how they fix it and why I sadly still can’t be active with them this week I’m nine days into recovery and about 90% pain free so far. Such a massive relief

She declined and opted for rehab instead. 12 months later she is pain free, deadlifting her own body weight, performing cleans & squats and is now returning to CrossFit. Advice, patience and structured rehabilitation will work well for most patients. 💡Remember that approx 70% of the herniated nucleus purposes will undergo resorption over 12-18months post herniation.
