Reworked rain. Now it is mostly a post-effect rather than particles #unity3d #shadergraph #vfx #gamedev

What happens if you move the camera?

Looks phenomenal!

Interesting to see that when camera moves - this is where post-processing the rain has the hardest time to look convincing. My old research on that is here, a simple ray-marcher:

I am using 3 layers of the effect with different panning speeds. Still quite fast and looks good enough, I think

Looks really well! I couldn't get it to look good using planes when the rain started to fall at steeper angles (30+ degrees). Btw the vegetation shading and water animation are really nice too!

this part really feels like rain, amazing

Man, this is beautiful. The colors, lighting, subtle fog, rain, all of it. Will you be showing us anymore teasers from environments, characters, etc soon? 👀

excellent!

Looks insane

Awesome!

Awesome look!

very very beautiful work!

Damn

Amazing

Looks clean 👌 post-effect was a good call!

Gorgeous!

Looks so cool! :O

Sick!

Looks super good. Especially with the panning effect you have shown in the comments when moving the camera. What happens if you tilt the camera up/down? Does it work too?

Camera tilt isn’t supported — mine is fixed. But you can easily fake it with trapezoidal distortion of raindrop noise UVs (I already use it for depth: smaller drops at the bottom). But wouldn’t work for near-vertical angles though — there you’d need a different effect

Got it. Thanks for answering! :)

вау - це дуже круто

amazing work!

Wow, how did you do that !
