A busy day for our team that went up to the border to rescue the abandoned cats. 26 souls were rescued (including a momma cat and her kittens). Most of the cats were quite bewildered by their abandonment and seemed relieved to be rescued. They will be taken into quarantine and made comfortable. Tomorrow the vets team will be busy checking each one carefully. Thank you to those who donated last night to support these cats. There is still time to donate if anyone can help us to help them. Develop Better Finishing and Decision Making With This Fast Break Drill Here's a great 2v1 drill to improve ball handling, passing, scoring, and decision making out of fast break advantage situations from the Youth Coaching System with Jim Huber. Even though these are youth players in the video, it's great for all ages! I actually got this drill from longtime college coach Don Kelbick. Drill Tips: -Attack and Think Lay Up! We got this drill from Don Kelbick and we teach the same mentality. You want to force the ball handler to attack and try to get a lay up. The only reason they pass is that the defender stops the ball. Personally, I’m okay if the initial ball handler takes some bad shots. I think having an assertive, attacking mentality will create more good things than bad. This mentality will eventually lead to more open passes for his teammate, because the defense will realize that they have to commit and stop the ball. -1 or 2 Pass Limit You could even add a pass limit of 1 or 2. That way, it’s more game like and they’re not going too slow. -Add a Countdown You could also introduce a time limit. If I see going too slow, I usually start saying, “3, 2, 1… “ and make a buzzer sound at zero. The kids actually enjoy it. -Make It 2v2 With a Trailing Defender It's also fun to add a trailing defender as another progression. You would simply add a 4th line somewhere in the middle of the floor. So you’d put a cone a little bit further in the middle of the court, so the trailing defender comes into the play a second or two later. -Change Offense and Defense Lines I also will switch up which lines are defense and offense, so players experience attacking the basket from all angles in transition. This is just a test!! Not final 😅. Been working on the mechanic system for the neck and head, my goal is to figure out if I should do high quality led eyes or actual 3d printed eyes connected to servos. The mouth will move up and down when it talks. Right now there are motion sensors but will replace with a camera for AI object detection in the final version 🤖👌 The goal is to get at least a 1:4 scale full size robot to the community. One day, full humanoid, which will require alot more power and custom actuators (looking into how to engineer this). Also, figuring out how to connect it to Eliza OS! Wanna help with this project? For the example I just described what I wanted to create, and Copilot generated for me: - Slides - Illustrations - Text - Presenter notes All thanks to the power of GPT-4. But you can also modify what's already been created. You can add text, modify existing text or create a new illustration with Dall-E 3. It's like having ChatGPT Plus directly integrated into PowerPoint. People don't realize the impact Copilot will have and what it can do. Note: I've speeded up some of the loading to make the video more pleasant to watch. But it's still very fast.
