🚨WHAT A FREAKING HERO!!!! A North Carolina dad who was ST*BBED IN THE NECK in a Food Lion parking lot, with his kids still in the back seat... ...HELD HIS WOUND AND THEN USED HIS CAR TO RUN DOWN THE KNIFE-WIELDING MAN who began CHARGING at his wife. He hit the gas, SMASHED INTO THE ATTACKER, and saved her!!!! It was Sunday night, around 8:30PM. This dad dropped his wife at the Food Lion door and pulled into a parking spot to wait, his children right there in the vehicle with him. Out of nowhere, a man walked up and st*bbed him in the chin and neck with a knife. he wounded husband called his wife and told her: I've been st*bbed. He pulled up to the front to grab her and get his family OUT of there. But as his wife walked out of that store... the suspect started RUNNING right at her. Court records say he was "charging toward" her with a large fixed-blade knife. So the father turned his car and drove it straight into the attacker and knocked him to the ground. Stopped him cold. The suspect scrambled up and ran INTO the store. Deputies found him hiding behind the DELI counter and recovered the knife. A 36-year-old named Eric Burgess is now charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to k*ll, assault on a female, and more. And that dad? His wounds, thank God, are not life-threatening, he's going to be okay!!! This dad refused to be a victim, even though he got st*bbed in the NECK and his very next thought was his WIFE and his children. THAT is a husband. THAT is a father. THAT is what it looks like to protect your family with everything you've got. God bless this man!!!! THIS is the kind of man America is still full of!!!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Eight years together, Six of which—us being 'buwag.' Since then, it seemed like everything in its time is often a hard pill to swallow. It might not feel like we made it, but we are still here. And it's among the most meaningful things that have enabled us to endure, persevere, and love freely.
