A new poll has just dropped for Wales and it is fascinating. First Minister Eluned Morgan is expected to lose her seat while Reform have increased their vote share compared to previous polls. Plaid will be the largest party and, alongside the Greens, would command a majority in the Senedd. Happy to say I'm working with Byline Times and Byline TV to bring you regular films. This is about our National Trust and the right wing Tufton St set trying to get their hands on it. I've been a member of the National Trust for many years. It has 50,000 volunteers and 5 million members. It's the biggest conservation charity in Europe and is one of the largest landowners in the UK with over 620,000 and 780 miles of our coastline under its protection ....so obviously the right wing Tufton St pack want to get their hands on it. How? Through a company called Restore Trust - an opaquely funded "Tufton St set" organisation which has been attempting to get some of their ilk onto the National Trust Board. Of course they have. They've been on all the usual right wing media talking about how "woke" the National Trust is. Jaysus let's please not hear that word after we've seen off the Conservatives for ever at the next election. Jacob Rees Mogg thinks Restore Trust is marvellous, which kind of says all you need to know. They've failed to get their board candidates voted in for 3 consecutive years now. Long may that pattern continue 👍🏼👍🏼 Restore Trust puts out a lot of misinformation...so if ever you read anything of theirs, please treat it with extreme caution... In Jacob Rees-Mogg’s desperation during the Oxford Islam debate, he also came up with this bit of loony argument, praising Ibn Khaldun (1332–1406) as a great Islamic political theorist we ought to admire in the West today. Sir Jacob is a fan of Ibn Khaldun’s writings on taxation. But what does he think of the rest of political thought? Unlike some contemporary scholars who argued Jihad should only be defensive, Ibn Khaldun explicitly stated that Islam has a unique divine obligation to aggressively subjugate other nations. He wrote: “In the Islamic community, the holy war is a religious duty, because of the universalism of the Muslim mission and the obligation to convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or by force.” He contrasted Islam with Christianity, arguing that Christians were not commanded to seek global political dominion, whereas Muslims were. He fiercely held that Muslims were intrinsically culturally and morally superior to all non-Muslims simply by virtue of possessing the Islamic faith and legal code. He also argued that an oppressive, tyrannical, and unjust Muslim ruler was vastly preferable to even a single day of civil unrest or rebellion, and that citizens have an absolute religious duty to unconditionally submit to state authority, even if the ruler is actively stealing their property or acting cruelly. In his foundational work, The Muqaddimah, he also explains his pseudo-scientific views on sub-Saharan Africans, explicitly writing that people living in the extreme hot climates of sub-Saharan Africa were “closer to dumb animals than to rational beings” and alleged that they lived in caves and engaged in cannibalism. He used these prejudices to justify the Arab slave trade, writing: “Therefore, the Negro nations are, as a rule, submissive to slavery, because Negroes have little that is essentially human and possess attributes that are quite similar to those of dumb animals. He also claimed that Black people were characterized by universal “stupidity, levity, excitability, and great emotionalism,” attributing this to the “hot air” of their geographic zone. His views on Islamic political supremacy were uncompromising, and he openly argued that a religious theocracy (Khilafah) was the only legitimate form of governance. He explicitly stated that purely secular political systems based on human reason are fundamentally corrupt and sinful because they prioritise worldly greed over divine law. He even had zero tolerance for heterodoxy within the Muslim world, railing against Shia Muslims, and aggressively condemned and sought to ban the works of ecstatic or philosophical Sufi mystics (such as Ibn Arabi). Defendants deliver package to the victim at their address while filming the encounter. 5. Defendant uses access to the Home Office ‘Atlas’ immigration database in order to obtain personal information. 6. Defendant attends anti-china protests using a fake police ID card. 7. Defendant sent a list of names back to handler in Hong Kong naming several UK lawmakers and HK pro-democracy supporters. Including Iain Duncan Smith MP Chingford & Woodford Green 8. Defendant allegedly paid £4,500 per month to record and track local pro-democracy campaigners. 9. Defendant and former Hong Kong Police officer discussed deploying local Chinese triads (14K) to “teach Mr. Cheng a lesson”. In a separate incident, pro-democracy protestors were beaten up in London’s Chinatown by the members from the same triad group. As thousands of canvassers descend on Makerfield, the establishment media are STILL crashing out about Restore Britain. A new poll of 1,119 Makerfield residents puts Restore on 13 percent, Reform on 24 percent, and Labour on 35 percent. Farage has his head in his hands when asked questions about Rupert Lowe. Reform MPs and spokesmen admit Restore have "‘made us up our game because we had someone to the right of us", and that "voters are looking for seriousness and authenticity, and they actually see in Rupert what they don’t see in Nigel". While Reform supporters accuse Rupert of working for the Tories, Jacob Rees-Mogg says "Restore are a wasted vote" because they will block a Conservative coalition with Reform. Michael Gove thinks Restore and Rupert Lowe "are jokes" — which, coming from him, is an endorsement. The Economist thinks we're "bastards" for wanting to give violent foreign criminals like Vickrum Digwa the death penalty. Over at the Guardian, Owen Jones is afraid that Restore will destroy the "guardrails" imposed by the post-War consensus — "a sort of ideological ring-fencing" to stop you from having a country. Andy Beckett agrees: "Restore is changing the atmosphere of politics." And Melanie Phillips claims Restore "don’t even understand what British identity and core western precepts actually are... What Restore want, therefore, is not historic Britain but an ethno-state based on blood and soil racism." She thinks it's unreasonable to recognise the British people are indigenous ethnic groups, who have an exclusive claim to these Isles, and that our politics should prioritise our interests minority grievances or liberal values. She says "Judaism itself is not just an ethnicity but also comprises a religion and a people. There is no other people, religion or ethnicity like it. It is unique." But I'm just not willing to support nationalism for thee and not for me, I'm afraid. And I don't care what names I get called.

My independent, socialist campaign for Congress is organizing to stop all ICE raids, stop deportations, and shut down ICE and the detention centers. We need mass protests and civil disobedience, combined with mass strike action by public and private sector unions. The Democratic Party, which has participated in creating and repeatedly funding ICE, is quickly trying to wash their hands of the killing. Rather than use their elected positions to call for and lead mass protests and civil disobedience, top Minnesota Democrats like Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey have urged working people to “remain calm.” Worse, Governor Walz is getting ready to deploy the National Guard. The labor leadership has failed to call for mass protests and strike actions. Instead of organizing an actual fightback, the Democratic Party’s endless list of NGOs are limiting people to candlelight vigils, to tamp down on working-class anger at ICE. My congressional opponent, warmongering Democrat Adam Smith, was among the 88 House Democrats who voted to create ICE in the Homeland Security Act. This should come as no surprise, considering Smith’s anti-worker, pro-war record. Alexander Karp, the CEO of Palantir, a tech company known for their surveillance technology and huge contracts with ICE, has maxed out his donations to Adam Smith. During my time on the Seattle City Council, my office fought for and won a ban on the use of crowd control weapons by the Seattle Police Department in the wake of the murder of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter uprisings. This ban was NOT won by my playing nice with the Democrats on City Council. It was only won because I fought to overcome the opposition of the Democratic Party. I did this by using my office to build fighting movements and lead protesters to peacefully occupy City Hall. That is the type of leadership we need in Congress, and it's the type of leadership we will never find in the Democratic or Republican parties. No matter where you are in the US, if you are angry about this murder by ICE in Minneapolis, if you are angry that billionaires get richer and our lives get harder, we need you to get involved in our campaign to send the first revolutionary socialist to U.S. Congress. Rupert Lowe has proposed that he and Nigel Farage set aside their personal differences for Reform and Restore to work together before the next general election. Though the terms of an agreement remain vague, Farage said he remains open to a deal. The offer came as Labour broke Reform's 300+ opinion poll lead, casting doubt on the inevitability of their election victory. An extra 100,000+ members, 3 - 7 per cent of the vote, Rupert Lowe's seat on the Public Accounts Committee, exuberant Zoomer staff, and regaining credibility on demographics and deportations are all significant benefits Reform stands to gain from incorporating Restore. But within a day, discussions descended into bickering over who failed to answer whose texts, with supporters and media surrogates on both sides blaming the other for negotiations breaking down. This is so frustrating, because the leaders of Reform and Restore agree on almost all of Rupert's five principles. Mass deportations for illegal migrants, reversing mass legal migration, cutting the welfare bill, and pursuing energy abundance are already Reform policy. While Reform haven't matched Rupert's rhetoric on restoring demographic security for the white British natives, Farage has released a Substack post expressing concerns about them becoming an imminent minority with no political advocates. As for the death penalty: Richard Tice, Lee Anderson, and likely Zia Yusuf already support it. A referendum on capital punishment would win the party more votes. Even some senior Reform figures regret Tory defections, like Nadhim Zahawi and Nadine Dorries, and would rather they departed the party. Lowe would have to compromise on having Suella Braverman and Robert Jenrick in Reform's cabinet, but perhaps suitable roles could be found for all before Reform Conference. The likelihood of a unified front diminishes the more that partisans and saboteurs throw insults and invent conspiracies. It would be a great shame if they, or interpersonal bitterness, got in the way of this opportunity.
