robotics demo are aaaalways flawless. a warehouse? not so much. Everyone deploying knows, that gap has been the open secret of the industry for years: Perfect lighting, perfect items, perfect choreography on stage. Then the truck backs in with a thousand mismatched SKUs and the system? Not working so...

Teleoperation today relies on WebRTC. That works for Zoom. Not for robotics. Is that statement provocative? WebRTC works for video calls. But not really for robots. I’m teleoperating from SF → London using Adamo’s stack. Zero buffering. No lag smoothing… just real-time control. Because WebRTC apps add buffers to handle: • packet loss • network jitter That’s fine when you’re talking. Not so much when you’re controlling a robot. Even small delays kill precision. So instead of adapting WebRTC… Adamo built a custom protocol + dedicated global infrastructure. Without buffering or artificial delay. A stable, real-time connection across the Atlantic. This is what people underestimate about robotics: Models are just one piece of the puzzle. But looking at the entire stack, there is so much more. And Sometimes you can’t reuse what exists. You have to build it from the ground up. Thank you, Sam Considine for letting me try, it nice seeing you during GTC last week! 👋 ——- Weekly robotics and AI insights. Subscribe free:

Figure 03 just finished an 8-hour work livestream, imperfect, but already good enough to replace a lot of repetitive warehouse labor. 🤖 Brett Adcock put a team of F.03 robots on a factory-style package sorting task for a full shift. The job was simple and brutal: detect the barcode, pick the package, flip it label-side down, place it on the conveyor, repeat. Soft poly bags, rigid boxes, moving belts, messy orientations. That is exactly the kind of boring physical work factories pay humans to do all day. Early in the stream, the system handled 230 packages in 10 minutes. That is roughly 2.6 seconds per item — already in human-speed territory for this narrow workflow. The more important part: it was not one robot pretending to work all day. It was a team of Figure 03 robots keeping the line running. When one robot ran low on battery, it left the station and another robot stepped in. That is the real factory signal: not just autonomy, but shift continuity. F.03 is rated for about 5 hours of runtime, so the 8-hour result depends on fleet orchestration, charging, and handoff. That matters more than a single clean demo. The stream was not perfect. There were pauses, hesitations, missed orientations, and small recovery moments. Good. A perfect short clip hides failure. An 8-hour livestream exposes the parts that actually matter: endurance, recovery, throughput, and whether the robot can stay useful after the novelty wears off. Figure says this was fully autonomous on Helix-02, with zero human intervention. For logistics and manufacturing, that is the threshold worth watching. Not “can it do one impressive task?” Can it keep doing the boring task for an entire shift? Figure is not showing a general human replacement yet. But for structured, repetitive factory work, the gap just got much smaller. The timing is also interesting: Figure says BotQ has already delivered 350+ F.03 units and reached a 1 robot/hour production cadence. And F.04 is now in full design lock, with parts starting to ship. The next test is obvious. 8 hours was the proof of endurance. 24/7 is the proof of labor economics.

A simple CNC machine. Wood. A rotating tool. And yet the pattern shifts from circles to perfect hexagons with a level of accuracy most factories still struggle to hit. I worked five years in manufacturing at Siemens, and this is the part people often overlook. The real magic is not new or loud. It is stability. Repeatability. Tool paths that were tuned forever. Precision that just keeps working. Robotics is in a hype cycle right now, but manufacturing has delivered quiet perfection long before anyone talked about foundation models. Sometimes the most interesting engineering is the part that does not ask for attention. —- Weekly robotics and AI insights. Subscribe free:

"I think the next big area is robotics. How can we enable robotics to be of help to every person because previously it was not able to do so due to the complexities of handling edge cases. How can we with the help of AI fill in the gap of the edge cases, so robotics can come up in the same way for real world scenarios as it did for industrial ones." We had the incredible jason (Co-founder Solayer (mainnet arc)) join our latest episode of AI on AIR hosted by Chi Zhang and Scott Shi - e/acc, where we discussed: 1⃣ How AI is evolving 2⃣ Solayer's MEV solution for fair trading 3⃣ Hardware acceleration techniques to enhance system performance 4⃣ What it will take for robotics to go mainstream

Most robotics teams can make a robot move… very few can make it work every day in the real world! @roboforce_inc was just featured in Jensen Huang’s GTC keynote, not for a demo but for a robot they claim is already working in the field. Their system, TITAN, is built for industrial environments: ✅ 40 kg dual-arm payload ✅ millimeter-level precision ✅ 8 hours runtime ✅ early pilots in energy, logistics, and manufacturing They call it Physical AI: The focus is on getting robots to do the kind of labor that still depends on people: repetitive, risky, and physical. IMO, what stands out isn’t the specs. It’s the claim of 11,000 robot orders❗️ If even a fraction of that turns into real deployments, it would make RoboForce one of the most widely scaled robot platforms in the world!!?? The open question is whether this shift from prototype to production is real or just the next phase of robotics storytelling. It looks very promising to me. It’s also interesting how their founder openly pushes back against the humanoid trend, arguing for wheels over legs in real industrial settings. It’s an unusual perspective in a time when humanoids get most of the attention. If they are right, the next humanoid robotics wave might look less like a human and more like an industrial version. Sunday Robotics' Tony Zhao runs a fully autonomous robot demo live and unscripted, and it corrects itself every time you mess with it: brexton: "I want to confirm for the audience right now that this is fully autonomous. There's no teleoperation, no one behind the curtain, and this is real time. And we did not prepare this demo before. Why do you think seeing real-time demos is so rare for robotics? What the audience is seeing right now is not that common." Tony Zhao: "In order for a live demo to work, it's really stressing all parts of the system. From the bottom is the reliability of the hardware, then the software system, then the model. Because we're a full-stack company, we're able to do excellent work across all of them. We have these robots running pretty much every day, and it just keeps getting better as they practice." brexton: "So kids can bump into Memo, people can drop clothes, and it will correct itself just on the fly." Tony Zhao: "Act Two is the first robotic policy that can handle the diversity of homes in a way that is this reliable. You can see as I'm twisting it, if I twist it in again, it will keep doing it. So Memo has infinite patience." Sunday

Think about what it takes for a government scheme to actually reach a woman in a village in UP. Someone has to design it and fund it. Someone else has to build the delivery infrastructure on the ground, make sure it reaches the right people, and make sure no middleman eats half of it before it does. That sounds like basic governance. It is not. In most of India, one of those two steps quietly fails and nobody is held accountable for the gap. In UP, neither step failed. Jan Dhan gave her the account and an SHG was there to channel her earnings into something real. Mission Shakti was not just a banner on a wall. It became a centre in her district, with a woman officer inside it, and a helpline that picked up. When both levels of government are serious about the same outcome, the last mile actually gets covered. That is what the double engine sarkar delivered in UP. Not a promise. A working chain. #DoubleEnginekiShakti

Nick Shirley just stunned the Nelk Boys by laying out the REAL story behind Minnesota’s infamous “Learing Center.” Nick shirley explained that the daycare at the center of the scandal wasn’t some fly-by-night operation. It had been operating in plain sight for over EIGHT YEARS, racking up 90 violations, with a direct connection to Rep. Ilhan Omar. SHIRLEY: “So that daycare has been in existence for eight years. It has over 90 violations.” “And then they moved it, they’ve moved in a business who’s friends with Ilhan Omar, the business owner is. There’s photos of that.” “And then they open up this daycare on the back of it. They literally they literally cut open a door, the door wasn’t there in 2021, they cut open this door and then they put up Quality Learing Center.” “And it just happened for years, and they received $1.9 million from the government. And they had received even more millions before that, and nobody said a word.”

Elon Musk on the rapid advancement of AI and robotics "I'm confident that if AI and robotics continue to advance which they are advancing very rapidly working will be optional, and people will have any goods and services that they want" AI and robotics are advancing so fast that, eventually, they could satisfy nearly every human need. At that point, abundance becomes the default, and the real question is no longer about production, but purpose "There is a limit people can only eat so much food. But I think if you can think of it, you can have it in the future"

The scarce thing in a data center is not manpower, but instinct that only comes from years on the floor. Kingston Kuan and I spent the past month with data center operators and industrial robotics startups. Most robotics companies are focused on robots as a productivity amplifiers: 24/7 uptime, five days of work done in two. Few are focused on the potential of robots to change how people work altogether. We want to show what it looks like to rethink human-robot collaboration, using AI so a shrinking pool of experts can meet the increasing demands of future infrastructure.

TESLA JUST RIPPED OUT THE MODEL S LINE IT BUILT FOR 14 YEARS AND REPLACED IT WITH HUMANOID ROBOTS THAT COST $30,000 EACH. Three of them are standing at the end of the aisle. Matte black. No hard hat. No badge. One steps forward, grabs a steel cart twice its size, and pushes it down the floor to the next station. No remote. No operator. The same AI that powers Full Self-Driving now controls the legs. Everyone said humanoid robots were just a gimmick. A stage trick from AI Day with a guy in a bodysuit. That was 2021. Now there are over 1,000 of them at Fremont and Giga Texas. Sorting battery cells. Kitting parts. Moving racks. No overtime. No comp claims. No shift changes. The Fremont lines were torn down in 46 days. What went up in their place is a production line designed to build 1 million robots a year. A California factory worker costs $55/hour fully loaded. This thing pays for itself in a single quarter. The line doesn’t care who works on it.

Don’t be confused by how the story ends- choose Hope my friends - get the cynicism and negativity and pessimism out of your system. For so many of you who see this post, that framework of what you're looking for has been crushing you, not in a good way, crushing you and hurting you over the last five years. So many people are caught up in the drama and the bullshit that so many are pushing on you because they can control you when you're scared. I promise it's much more fun to choose hope and optimism, especially when it's grounded in patience, accountability, and most of all, practical truth. This is your chance to use this post to wake you up to the fact that the people that are most controlling you are the ones that scare you the most and try to infiltrate you to deploy hate and fear

Elon Musk just told you why caution kills more companies than risk ever has. Musk: “One of the approaches we did take was to proceed at risk with temporary permits.” Hundreds of millions in concrete before the final signature exists. Knowing the full downside. Musk: “Your long-term permit could be denied, in which case you have to stop everything.” Tear it all down. Back to dirt. Every board on Earth calls that unacceptable. Musk calls it cheaper than the alternative. Musk: “Most companies are not willing to take the risk of the temporary permit, and then the risk of having to stop and tear down.” They think they are avoiding risk. They are selecting one. Waiting is not neutral. Waiting is a position. A bet that the market holds, the team stays, and momentum outlasts a system designed to outlast you. It never does. No one says no. The calendar says it for them. Not rejection. Erosion. Musk saw it for what it was. He chose the risk you can see over the risk you cannot. Gigafactories rose in months while the rest of the industry waited on the meeting about the permit. The gap was never resources. It was the willingness to see that waiting is not free. It is the most expensive decision in business. Because it is the only one nobody knows they are making.

BitGo CEO Mike Belshe says dollar debasement will be the real tailwind beneath Bitcoin's rise "People that have been in Bitcoin for a long time got into this for a pretty long-term view. And the fundamentals of Bitcoin have never been stronger, regardless of where the price may be today." "What we're looking at with the US debt, with the bond market, globally what's happening, it's kind of inevitable that Bitcoin's going to go up in price. Not so much because Bitcoin has to do anything, but because the dollar continues to slide downward. And it doesn't really matter which politicians are in charge, none of them have the strength or the power to change the direction." "Two things happen at once. The dollar goes down, which causes the price to go up by itself. More people learn about Bitcoin, start deploying it, start utilizing it. Those things are both happening, just like they have been for a long time, and the beat goes on."

Buttigieg: It is not too much to ask that, in this country and in this state, one job ought to be enough, which means wages and benefits that make that possible. It’s not too much to ask that you ought to be able to afford to raise a family in this country—to put your kid in child care if you want, or stay home and take care of them yourselves if you want, or do some combination of that if you want—and still have it add up at the end of the month. It is not too much to ask that the wealthiest country in the world have the best health care in the world and that it have the best-funded public schools in the world. And it is not too much to ask that the largest corporations and wealthiest people in this country pay at least as much of their income and wealth in taxes as a schoolteacher, a bus driver, or a firefighter. It is not too much to ask for a different kind of politics, where you look at your leaders in action and actually feel your blood pressure come down a little bit instead of going through the roof. That is a reasonable thing to expect of our leaders. It is not too much to ask. We can do this. Most of us already want this. So the obvious question is: Why hasn’t it happened? And that’s where we’ve got to talk about the system that we’re living with, which, by the way, as a politician, they kind of tell you not to do. Consultants say, “Look, no one’s going to get too fired up about the details of our democratic system when they’re just trying to keep their heads above water in this economy,” which I get, and to some extent I agree. But the reason that so many things are wrong with our economic picture is that so many things are wrong with our political system. And we’ve gotten so used to it, we can forget that there was a time when our political system was the pride of this nation. Wars have been fought for our system, starting with the first one—the one that launched 250 years ago with the Declaration of Independence, the one that gave this nation its being. The Founders risked their lives for a better political system. So don’t tell me it can’t stir people’s hearts. Don’t tell me that it’s not worth fighting for. Especially because until we do something to change our political system, we will continue to suffer from an economic system that lets us down: monopolies squeezing families and farmers on both ends; consumers and workers caught up in a system that can’t serve them; small businesses swamped by the big guys. Right now, what’s at stake is nothing less than the American dream. It is endangered.

Rubio on Cuba: The fundamental problem Cuba has is that it has no economy, and the people who are in charge of that country and in control of it don’t know how to improve the everyday lives of their people without giving up power over the sectors they control. They want to control everything. They don’t want the people of Cuba to control anything. So they don’t know how to get themselves out of this. And to the extent that they’ve been offered opportunities to do so, they don’t seem to be able to comprehend or accept them in any way. They would much rather be in charge of a dying country than allow it to prosper.
