Bengaluru Hit-and-Run: Car Catches Fire After Dragging Two-Wheeler Bengaluru Panic gripped the Jayamahal area of #Bengaluru last night after a shocking hit-and-run involving a Toyota Innova Crysta. The vehicle rammed into a two-wheeler and dragged it along the road, triggering a fire outbreak. Police said the collision caused petrol to leak from the damaged bike, which ignited while being dragged, setting the car ablaze. Consumers who fill petrol or diesel should be cautious and check the meter reading carefully.⛽️ At the Indian Oil Corp Ltd petrol pump — Lakshmamma & Sons, Devegowda Road, RT Nagar, Bengaluru — our cameraman and several customers noticed irregularities while refueling. During the filling process, the meter showed variations of 4, 5, 6, 10, or even 15 ml or more, differing with the amount filled by each consumer. Bengaluru's Biggest Monsoon Tradition: Flooded Roads and Empty Promises This is Bengaluru. Looking at these visuals, one would think it is a swimming pool, not one of the city's major roads. The irony is that despite endless claims of development, smart infrastructure, and rapid urban growth, the same roads turn into waterlogged stretches every single time it rains. Just look at the water level. Vehicles are struggling to move, commuters are stranded, and residents are forced to wade through flooded roads. This is not an isolated incident or a one-time problem. It has become a recurring story across Bengaluru whenever there is moderate or heavy rainfall. The bigger question is: where are taxpayers' hard-earned money and infrastructure funds going? Citizens pay road tax, property tax, and numerous other charges with the expectation of basic civic amenities. Yet year after year, the city continues to witness the same drainage failures, poor road planning, and lack of accountability.Authorities issue promises after every monsoon, conduct inspections, and announce new projects, but the ground reality remains unchanged. If Bengaluru is truly India's technology capital, why are its residents still battling flooded roads every rainy season? 🇨🇦 I just watched this Nagar Kirtan video: a truck loaded with guys waving massive Khalistan flags, Canadian flag mixed in, man on the mic leading chants, crowd marching, but barely any religious activity. What is the true purpose of these Nagar Kirtan parades on our public roads? If this is a religious event, then why are separatist flags and political slogans taking over? If it’s a political rally pushing Khalistan, why is it allowed to hide behind the “religious procession” label, getting city permits, police escorts, and taxpayer-funded security? It’s getting harder and harder to find any genuine religious element here. New Zealand patriots had the courage to push back these Khalistanis. High time Canada and the US do the same.

A shocking incident has come to light from RT Nagar,near the flyover beside the Shell petrol station, where a viral video shows a traffic police officer allegedly assaulting an innocent cab driver over a minor parking issue. According to the video and the message written on it, the cab driver had parked his vehicle for just five minutes when the traffic cop suddenly began shouting and abusing him. Moments later, the officer allegedly slapped and manhandled the driver in full public view.The eyewitness described the incident as “a very bad job from the traffic cop,” condemning the officer’s aggressive and unprofessional behavior. Such actions are not only a gross misuse of authority but also a direct attack on the dignity of ordinary citizens who expect safety from those in uniform. No matter whether the Chief Minister changes or not, the condition of Bengaluru's roads seems to remain the same. Just look at the state of this road. Thousands of citizens use this stretch every day for their daily commute, yet it has been reduced to what looks more like an off-road track than a city road. The entire stretch is filled with craters, broken surfaces, loose gravel, and missing tar. Driving here is not only uncomfortable but also dangerous for motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians alike. During rains, these potholes become even more hazardous, increasing the risk of accidents and vehicle damage. Citizens continue to pay taxes, road tax, fuel tax, and various other levies with the expectation of receiving basic infrastructure and safe roads. But looking at conditions like these, one question naturally arises: Where is the taxpayers' money going? Bengaluru deserves better.
