Throwing garbage carelessly on roads, footpaths, and public spaces and then blaming bbmpcommissioner and Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS is not a solution. Civic responsibility begins with the people. Cleanliness is not only the duty of the administration; it is a basic civic sense that every citizen must practice. Dumping waste “here and there” reflects negligence, indiscipline, and a complete lack of respect for the city we live in. At the same time, civic sense cannot grow in isolation. It is also a genuine request and responsibility of BBMP and GBA to provide proper infrastructure for waste disposal. If garbage bins are placed on every street, at regular and accessible points, people will be far more likely to use them instead of littering the roads. Public convenience plays a critical role in shaping public behavior. So the real question is not one-sided blame. Is it the fault of citizens who lack discipline and basic civic sense? Or is it the fault of the administration for failing to provide essential facilities and systems? The truth is, both share responsibility. Citizens must stop using the absence of bins as an excuse to litter. Carrying waste home or disposing of it properly is a small but necessary act of responsibility. Clean cities are built by mindful citizens, not by slogans and complaints alone. However, authorities like BBMP and Greater Bengaluru Authority must also step up by ensuring adequate bins on every road, regular waste collection, awareness campaigns, and strict enforcement of rules. Only when civic sense from the people and efficient administration from authorities come together can we expect clean streets, healthier surroundings, and a city we can truly be proud of.Cleanliness is not optional. It is a shared duty, and blaming alone will never clean our roads. Karnataka State Police S. Change begins with the individual before it becomes a collective movement. The first step toward a better environment lies in taking ownership of our actions and their impact. Like Emeka, we must reflect on how indiscriminate dumping of refuse not only harms our neighborhoods but also threatens the delicate balance of the ecosystem that sustains us all. Every piece of waste tossed carelessly has far-reaching consequences—clogged drainage systems, polluted waterways, and destruction of natural habitats. These actions create a ripple effect that touches every aspect of life, from the health of our communities to the survival of wildlife. It is a responsibility that goes beyond personal comfort; it is a duty to our planet and future generations. Every day, we have the power to inspire change by choosing to act responsibly. Whether it’s disposing of waste properly, reducing single-use plastics, or educating others on the importance of a clean environment, our efforts can ignite a collective consciousness. Lagosians are known for their resilience and ability to inspire change. It’s our responsibility to act, not only for ourselves but for the millions of people who call this city home. Today, and every day, let’s lead by example. Let our actions inspire others to join the movement to keep Lagos clean, safe, and sustainable. Together, we can ensure that this vibrant city continues to flourish for generations to come. The future of Lagos is in our hands—let’s protect it. #CleanerLagos

Welcome to “Brand Bengaluru” Now With Potholes, Craters, and an Accident Guarantee! This is the reality of the so-called Silicon City of India roads that look like they’ve been hit by meteors, not maintained by a functioning government. The "Brand Bengaluru" dream sold to us is nothing but a cruel joke. What we’ve actually received are crater-filled roads, potholes the size of bathtubs, and a free daily massage every time you drive over them. Forget smooth commuting Bengaluru roads now come with a free “accident guarantee”! Whether you’re on a bike, car, or auto, every trip is a game of survival. And yet, our hard-earned tax money keeps disappearing into thin air, while those responsible continue to make big promises and attend ribbon-cutting ceremonies. What’s worse is that we’re not talking about the outskirts or remote areas these pathetic road conditions exist in the very heart of the city. Potholes have become permanent landmarks. People have stopped asking when the roads will be repairedbnow we just ask how deep is the next one. Bengaluru was once hailed as India’s pride a tech hub, a modern metro. But now, thanks to years of corruption, apathy, and absolute misgovernance, it’s known for floods, traffic, and moon-surface-like roads. So here’s to “Brand Bengaluru” powered by buzzwords, broken promises, and back-breaking roads. Maybe the government should start a new campaign: “Bengaluru where even roads don’t work, but the PR team does.” Dear authorities, citizens don’t need flashy slogans or staged celebrations. We just need basic infrastructure. And if that’s too much to ask, maybe you should stop calling this a world-class city altogether #bangalorerains #bangalorerains #silkboard #bengaluru #bangalore Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS Tushar Giri Nath, IAS Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ BengaluruCityPolice ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಸಂಚಾರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ BengaluruTrafficPolice CP Bengaluru ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಆಯುಕ್ತ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು alok kumar DGP KARNATAKA S. Brand Bengaluru: Where Dreams Drive, But Boats Float Faster Massive traffic chaos has erupted on the Electronic City flyover and the adjoining main roads, all thanks to the now ritualistic waterlogging near Silk Board. With Hosur Road completely closed due to flooding, the city's infrastructure has once again collapsed like a house of cards at the first sign of rain. Commuters, helpless and frustrated, have started walking on the flyover because clearly, walking through chaos is faster than waiting in it. This isn’t just traffic this is Bengaluru’s monsoon edition of survival of the fittest. Welcome to Brand Bengaluru, where tech dreams come to die in puddles, and BBMP’s contribution is limited to photo ops and press notes. Bengaluru, the so-called city of dreams for thousands, is crumbling not because of nature but because of years of unchecked greed, corruption, and absolute apathy. Our roads flood, our drains choke, and our officials? They remain blissfully unaware or shamelessly indifferent. What has Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS truly done, other than expertly mismanage public funds and turn a global tech hub into a soggy, unlivable disaster zone every monsoon? "Brand Bengaluru" is now nothing more than a cruel joke, sold to the world while its citizens swim through the mess. And let’s not forget us the voters. Shame on us for electing the same people again and again, expecting change while receiving nothing but potholes, waterlogged roads, and empty promises. Maybe next time we’ll vote for candidates who carry umbrellas, not just manifestos. At this rate, Bengaluru won’t need smart city plans it’ll need snorkels and rescue teams #bangalorerains #bangalorerains #silkboard #bengaluru #bangalore Maheshwar Rao.M, IAS Tushar Giri Nath, IAS Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ BengaluruCityPolice ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಸಂಚಾರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ BengaluruTrafficPolice CP Bengaluru ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಆಯುಕ್ತ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು alok kumar DGP KARNATAKA S. Education Without Responsibility Is a Lie Education means nothing when people clean their own homes but throw garbage on the roads or in front of someone else’s house. Cleanliness is not the responsibility of the municipality alone; it is equally the duty of every citizen to keep their surroundings clean and hygienic.Such irresponsible behavior reflects a lack of civic sense and respect for society. Throwing waste in public spaces not only spreads filth and disease but also shows disregard for the people who live around us. A truly educated person understands that cleanliness does not end at their doorstep it extends to streets, neighborhoods, and public spaces. These practices create a negative impact on society, damage the environment, and undermine collective efforts like Swachh Bharat. Roads and public areas are shared spaces, and treating them as dumping grounds is unacceptable. Civic sense, discipline, and social responsibility are just as important as formal education. If we expect clean cities and a better future, people must change their mindset. Real education is reflected in actions, not certificates. Respect for public spaces, proper waste disposal, and responsibility toward society are essential for building a clean, healthy, and civilized nation. Karnataka State Police S.
