Rushing through this Welfare Bill without a full, meaningful consultation is wrong. The government’s deadline is a political choice — not a necessity — and it risks pushing more disabled people into poverty. 1/2

I urged the Minister to do the fair and right thing: withdraw this Bill and listen to disabled people. 2/2

The more I hear her the more I loathe her Thank you for raising the question, I hate how constantly dismissive she is about people’s concerns and how much she clear doesn’t want disabled people involved in the process at all

Benefits cheats should be locked up and on release forced to work with a proportion of their wages docked until they've repaid the money they've stolen, both from the taxpayer and from genuinely disabled people

And it won't safeguard those of us in receipt. As we'll be reassessed and then "fail".

Talented MPs who vote this down are likely to end up in higher paid ministerial jobs in a new cabinet when they bring #Keir_Starmer down. Once he has gone there's a good chance the damage he caused the #UKLabour brand can be repaired and Labour may win the next election.
