NATO air defense against drones? What air defense? USA hasn't developed a single short range air defense system, only germany has some IRIS-T that is again an MRSAM. Only soviet/russia have dedicated short range defenses(pantsir, tor, tunguska, buk, etc etc) for effective layers

Following the recent Russian strikes with Geran-4 jet-powered OWA-UAVs, the Ukrainians have set up anti-drone nets on the Pivnichnyi Bridge in Kyiv. Although such protection can be quite effective against slower and less powerful FPV drones or ZALA Lancet loitering munitions, it is questionable whether it will be able to stop the Geran-4 OWA-UAV carrying a 50-90kg warhead and diving onto the target with a speed of over 350km/h.
