This description of the Justin Trudeau government invocation of the Emergencies Act by CTV News is incredibly frustrating. The Federal Court found that the government's use of the EA was illegal and unconstitutional. This is never mentioned. Instead, CTV covered the Rouleau Commission, which is not a court and does not create precedent. The Rouleau Commission also found that while it was Rouleau's view that the threshold to use the act was met, another decision maker could reasonably reach a different conclusion. This is exactly what went on to happen, but was for some reason omitted by CTV. The illegal and unconstitutional use of this extraordinary law is a huge stain on Trudeau's legacy and one of the greatest infringements of civil liberties in Canada in a generation.

Forget UPL, it's the Devin's simple right hand turn that FSD needs to master first. I am blown away that software as good as FSD can make mistakes as simple but devastating as this. This is the second time in less than two weeks that FSD has tried to pull infront of a vehicle on a VERY SIMPLE right hand turn. The car drove pretty much flawlessly all day today (3~ hours of driving) but it ends the day with a move like this and it just takes all the confidence I have with FSD away in a simple move. I understand that the version of FSD we have today is not what will be used in Austin in June, but the fact that FSD is making decisions like this and 'full autonomy' is less than 3 months away - it's a bit concerning to me. I had one of those moments today that really showed me how much Tesla’s FSD has improved. We were heading to our next destination, and I turned on FSD in my Cybertruck. Instead of taking the obvious route out of the parking lot, it made a turn and drove straight into a parking garage. At that point, my significant other was yelling at me to disengage bc she didn’t want to waste time. Her argument was simple… FSD will probably get confused in a situation like this and we may end up going on an infinite loop FSD ride here. A parking garage is a pretty challenging environment if you think about it… multiple levels, ramps, tight turns, parked cars, limited visibility, and signs that can be easy to miss. But I told her I wanted to see what it would do. My thinking was that the latest version of FSD is much better at understanding their surroundings, reading signs, recognizing where they are, and making decisions based on what they see in real time. Sure enough, after realizing it wasn’t on the correct path, my Cybertruck kept moving, analyzed the situation, followed the garage layout, went all the way to the top floor, found the exit, and drove itself back out. Then it continued toward our destination without me touching the wheel. What impressed me wasn’t that it made a wrong turn… tbh human drivers do that all the time. What impressed me was that it recognized the situation, adapted, and successfully recovered on its own. Years ago, that probably would have been the end of the experiment bc it would go on an infinite loop, eventually resulting in a disengagement. Today, with FSD v14.3.4, it felt like watching the AI handle an unexpected problem and work its way through it. For me, that’s one of the biggest signs of progress in Tesla FSD, where it’s not 100% perfect, yet being able to make sense of a mistake, figuring out a solution, and moving forward.

Today, CNBC released a new video with Consumer Reports comparing driver-assist systems. But there's a problem… in the video, they used Tesla's Autopilot, not Tesla's FSD (Supervised), and compared that to the top offerings in other automakers' cars. CNBC also claimed that Tesla lacked an effective driver monitoring camera, but Tesla does have one—so much so that some Tesla owners complain about its sensitivity. Camera based driver attention monitoring is less strict for Autopilot than it is for FSD (Supervised). Not once in the video did they test the latest version of Tesla's FSD. Consumer Reports says Ford and GM have the best driver assist systems. The Mercedes system they praise in the video is extremely limited and can only work on highways. FSD V14.1.4 | 37 Minute Drive with the push of a button Everyday that I am out on the road I drive past all the other cars and I wonder how many of them realize what Tesla has accomplished already with FSD. Given that so many Tesla owners don't even know about FSD I have to assume the majority of other people on the road also do not know. I'm not sure what the answer is, but somehow the public needs to be made aware of what's happening here - at this point it's undeniably good and more people need to try it out and experience it for themselves. Who all is enjoying V14 so far?

She now says that it was wrong and that she misinterpreted a neighbors story and ‘messed up royally’. She never meant to cause so much hate against this one group of people.

What I love most about this clip is that FSD understands what needs to happen and reacts BEFORE the lead car even throws it in reverse. This is such a critical indicator that FSD isn’t just reacting to objects in its path, but actually understands what happens next before it even needs to start backing up to clear the dodge ram. This is one of my favorite edge cases in a minute. FSD IS THE TRUTH

FSD V14.1.7 Takes me downtown to see a show with the push of a button. It's absolutely incredible what a Tesla is capable of on V14. This is a ~50 minute drive and it ends in an underground parking garage and it was 100% handled by FSD, all I did was press a button.

People are so hung-up on FSD Unsupervised that they're ignorning the fact that we have self-driving cars today. Tesla FSD is not perfect - but it is incredibly good, and when you put it up against every other ADAS here in North America it is undeniably how far ahead Tesla is at the moment. I think it's fair to talk about the issues that exist today with FSD - but I also think there are some people who cannot take the time to appreciate what FSD is actually capable of... When I got my car two years ago I had no idea that the technology existed for a car to be able to stop itself at a stop sign - that is how unaware the general public is of FSD.

I am sure Carl is taking a mental note of all this. She didn’t even defend her actions per se she just went in fully with apologizes and that was so cute to watch. #LoveIslandusa
