@ZerMike Likely anchored through deep pier holes, poured with concrete with steel rebars and stirrups, tied together. They usually construct this kind of structure on steep hillsides due to potential sliding/mudslides.

It is important to ask about the occupants in the house. Who are they ? What faith do they practice ?

It's not taking direct force of the flood plus #Nepal govt invested heavily on building earthquake resistant houses post 2015 plus underlying soil, plus luck , lot of things that may have saved this house
