In 2008, Idan Raichel, one of Israel’s most beloved artists, volunteered to perform for children brought from Gaza by Save a Child’s Heart. This organization saves kids from all over the world,including Palestinians, and brings them to Israel for life-saving treatments. After the show, Raichel posed for a photo with one of the children and his father, a small moment, a beautiful picture, a memory of human kindness. But now, years later, that picture has resurfaced and found in Gaza by the IDF. It turns out the father was a Hamas operative, and the child Israel saved, the one who got a second chance at life, grew up to become a Hamas terrorist.
