Scattered thunderstorms will continue to develop this afternoon and evening. The higher coverage and slightly higher chance for severe thunderstorms will be south of I-20. Large hail up to quarter size and winds up to 60 are the risks in the strongest storms.

This is just a guide for storm timing Friday and the weekend. Isolated storms mainly east Friday after 4pm. Saturday coverage a little higher for NTX mainly 4p-8p. Sunday, slightly lower coverage in the same timeframe. Any storm could be severe with large hail and damaging winds.

Here's a look at today's severe weather outlook and 18-hour Futurecast. It's going to be hazy, hot, and humid until this evening when scattered strong to severe storms develop from the west. So plnety of dry and hot weather until this evening when the storms arrive. The timing appears to be 6 pm-12, with scattered incidents, not widespread.
