It seems today the aim is to dumb down the kids and get them used to not thinking for themselves and being trusting of the state. With the onset of AI they want a compliant and dependent population as they’ll not be needed in the workplace.

That was always the goal of government schools from the very beginning, based on the Prussian model of "education".

Love this. Academia is a racket. They're control and indoctrination centers. They're brainwashing the youth of this country. Homesteading and homeschooling are the way. I barely went to school, and now I'm at the VP level because I learned SKILLS. I didn't just memorize books.

I learned more of value in the one year I was homeschooled by my grandparents than I did in all the years I spent in government schools. Mostly, how to think and question (instead of being taught WHAT to think and NOT to question).

Some of the smartest people you know barely made it through school. Some of the dullest ones never left. There’s a lesson in that.

It has basically become abundantly clear that children who experience a high quality home educational environment usually outperform their public school peers…🎓

One-on-one private tutoring, tailored to an individual child's strengths, weaknesses and interests, will always outperform the production line, one-size-fits-all government obedience factories we euphemistically call "schools" (in terms of actual education). 🎯

“I have never let my schooling interfere with my education.” ~ Mark Twain

school is basically daycare - end of story

School taught me to follow rules, but life taught me to question them. Sometimes the most valuable lessons aren't on any curriculum.

I was a feral country kids in the 70s Neglected by humanity and the forest became my nanny. It shaped me differently than others.

Recently I listened to @ShawnRyan762 podcast on which he interviwed a guy who dropped out of high school at 16 and now 10 years later is CEO of a company making SMRs! He read a lot and taught himself.

There is a world of difference between “schooling” and “education”. Universities and colleges are full of so called academics who are schooled but abysmally uneducated.

This is school.

It's to stop you from thinking outta the box...

🧐

True enough, school is not the only way to get educated. Also true is that on the list of possible ways to get educated our public school systems have sunk disgracefully close to the bottom.

Funny how the system that tells you school is everything is run by people who dropped out to build the system.

I agree 💯💯, unfortunately the system was rigged, we couldn’t get a good job without a college education on our resumes. Sucked bad 😂

I think that is extreme overstatement, but yes, it is still accurate.

YES! Lincoln had less that a year formal schooling. Franklin stopped school at age 10....there are many more examples. Worst part they give very energetic, active young minds diagnosis eg ADHD, then prescribe drugs.

And it does not take 13 years to educate a child.

School indoctrinates it’s idiots to hate everything in life anything Christian, white and happy, they made you think it was the black, history has been a lie to keep control of the population in ways most cant figure out… DELIBERATE DUMBING DOWN OF AMERICA…

I homeschool. My daughter is really smart. And a wonderful kid

It’s about programming and conformity. Period.

School was never about education; it was about control and fostering a sense of compliance to authority.

Children are naturally curious. School kills their curiosity.

Sure don’t teach you how to grow your own food.

School teaches you how to sit still, ask for permission and follow orders. Life teaches you everything they forgot to put in the textbook.

So many roads to ease my soul

SO GOOD!

What happened to her arm

The most important thing children need to learn in 'School' is how to read. Sad to say a very high % of young adults who receive diplomas from high school can not read, well enough to do a simple one page book report. Sad but very true.
