I heard a tall tale from an old mannie in a bar in Gullane that there are apparently golf courses inland that are also good. He was a bit pished like so not sure what to think.

As someone who now works in golf tourism and visits these courses all season I'm slightly embarrassed to say I don't recognise them all. NB/KB/Troon/Carnoustie/Preswick/CS/Turnberry but 1st/3rd & 4th escape me.

Ah, those ones are Cruden Bay, Prestwick and Machrihanish. Dornoch in at the end too.

That is what I picture heaven to be like.
