Is the SwiftUI version built on the visualEffect and Metal shader modifiers? Curious how it holds up at 120Hz in a long ScrollView.

No. It's a WKWebView running the same WebGL engine as the web version. It only renders while moving, so in a long ScrollView it's just a static layer. Haven't tested at 120Hz yet.

Smart, only rendering while moving saves a ton of battery. If you ever do a native pass, SwiftUI's layerEffect shaders could run it without the web view.

In 2023, I worked with Android, Compose, SwiftUI, Flutter, React Native, C++, web, React, Svelte, Framer, Noesis, Bevy, and Unity. All using Rive runtimes. Implementing new features, fixing bugs, testing, and creating fun demos. It was such a blast. Below is a highlight video of some of my favorite projects of the year.
