.World Health Organization (WHO) and partners transferred 5 pediatric patients - four cancer patients and a patient with second degree burns - from Al-Ahli hospital yesterday to Nasser Medical Complex. They will continue receiving care there until the cancer patients are able to leave #Gaza for specialised care. We also delivered medical supplies to cover the health needs of 20,000 patients at Al-Ahli and As-Sahaba hospitals along with 19000L of fuel. .World Health Organization (WHO) and partners transferred 5 pediatric patients - four cancer patients and a patient with second degree burns - from Al-Ahli hospital yesterday to Nasser Medical Complex. They will continue receiving care there until the cancer patients are able to leave #Gaza for specialised care. We also delivered medical supplies to cover the health needs of 20,000 patients at Al-Ahli and As-Sahaba hospitals along with 19000L of fuel. 9th Medical & Healthcare Camp for Palghar district was successfully held by Shree Aniruddha Aadesh Pathak, Dilasa Medical Trust & Rehabilitation Centre and allied organisations on Sunday, 8th December 2024, at Sarsoon village, Taluka - Jawhar. – 1,027 #villagers from 41 villages benefitted from the free #MedicalCheckups as well as the #FreeDistribution of medicines & food, etc. – 162 volunteers, including 19 doctors, 23 paramedics, 23 optometrists and 97 volunteers, performed Seva at Camp. – 329 patients visited the #Optometry OPD, out of which 286 were given spectacles for free. – 131 patients needing further treatment were referred to the SMBT Group Of Institutions Hospital, #Nasik. These medical and healthcare camps, organized over the past two years, have brought much-needed #hope to the people living in these remote areas. The care and compassion they receive at these camps reassure them that their well-being truly matters and that they are not left alone.

#SEBAASHRAY has always been more than just routine health check-ups and free medical services; it is about TIMELY MEDICAL INTERVENTIONS that are now SAVING LIVES. This was evident in the case of 9-year-old Altaf Hosen Ghorami, whose story is a testament to the initiative’s impact. Altaf’s father brought him to a Sebaashray camp, where routine tests revealed a CRITICAL HEART CONDITION. He was promptly referred to the Model Camp at Diamond Harbour SDO Ground, where further examination confirmed a CONGENITAL CARDIAC ANOMALY that severely impaired his oxygen levels. Acting swiftly, the team referred him to Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital for advanced care. On 18th January, 2025, a highly-skilled Pediatric Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) team of 20-25 specialists – including surgeons, perfusionists, anesthetists, nurses and OT technicians – performed a GRUELLING 4-HOUR SURGERY to correct the anomaly. I am relieved to share that Altaf is NOW OUT OF DANGER. With proper post-operative care, he will soon be back on his feet, ready to EMBRACE LIFE WITH RENEWED VIGOUR. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire medical team for their expertise, dedication, precision and kindness in handling this mammoth responsibility of saving a child’s life.
