Hearing on Constitutional Amendment Bill Number 3 ended prematurely at Kwekwe Theatre in Kwekwe after Melody Chingarande, the only person who opposed the Bill was booed and kicked out of the venue. Sympathisers escorted Chingarande from the venue to Kwekwe Central Police Station as she faced threats from hooligans. The hall was packed with Zanu PF supporters bussed from outside the city. He was told to take the guests to his house if he wished to continue with the programme. He however, reminded ZRP that the old people they barred from using the stadium are the same people who built it. He said it was hard to imagine Police excuse that he was trying to topple Government with the gathering. "Surely can i carry out an uprising with old people like these here". Benefit Chikomo says he left a comfortable life in Australia and returned to Zimbabwe to enter politics and fight for change. But before he could officially launch his new party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), police allegedly stopped the rally from going ahead in Masvingo. Chikomo claims he followed all the required procedures and accuses authorities of denying opposition parties political space. A senior AirForce officer based at Magama Tongogara Airbase in Gweru, Stafford Ncube and Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services Officer Commanding Midlands, Somemore Gate allegedly took a tractor and ploughed down 2023 opposition Parliamentary candidate for Chirumhanzi South Constituency, Patrick Cheza's 3-week-old maize crop in a wrangle over a farm in Mvuma that the latter was allocated by the Ministry of Lands.The incident happened on Saturday and the total cost of the destroyed 2-hectares is US$2K. The two senior security officers drove to Cheza's farm using unmarked new Ford Rangers which Government is splashing on senior civil servants, musicians and Zanu PF officials. The matter was reported at Mvuma Police Station under RRB 5909845. The officers' action is in contempt of a court case of the same matter which is before a judge at the High Court in Masvingo. It is still a time tested truth that Section 59 of the Zimbabwe🇿🇼constitution guarantees the right of every Zimbabwe🇿🇼citizen to peacefully assemble and protest SADC Secretariat. Zimbabwe Citizens are a very peaceful people. They are unarmed. The illegal detention, abduction and torture of Zimbabwe🇿🇼citizens around the #SadcSummit is what we the citizens of Zimbabwe 🇿🇼will remember about August 2024. What Mr Mnangagwa and his zanupf cabal are doing to Zimbabwe🇿🇼citizens, that they will do to #SadcCitizens. It's just a matter of time.
