"Khamenei held the IRGC back — now he's gone. The revolutionaries are unleashed. Their own bodyguards would shoot anyone who talks negotiation. No one can tell 15 million revolutionaries to stop. That's what Trump did — inadvertently, and utterly stupid."

So who were the true revolutionaries? The working class or the lumpenproletariat? Marx never trusted the lumpenproletariat to lead the revolution. Those were the rioters, criminals, pickpockets, discharged soldiers, and vagabonds he described as a “dangerous class” and an “indefinite, disintegrated mass,” the social scum with no loyalty to the cause and no stake in production. But the anarchist Bakunin believed the déclassé and the criminal underworld were the true revolutionaries since they had nothing to lose. Both had the wrong idea about who the true revolutionaries actually are. Like Marx, Engels, Lenin, Castro, Che, Pol Pot, the true revolutionaries are actually the Hasan Pikers and the trust fund kids as it has always been.
