NEW: San Diego County Sheriff's Office issues a blistering statement on the county board's decision to make it a "Super Sanctuary county." "The Sheriff's office will not changes its practices based on the Board resolution and policy that was passed at today's meeting," the statement reads. "The Board of Supervisors does not set policy for the Sheriff's Office." The Board Supervisor Supervisor Jim Desmond blasted the designation. "Today’s outrageous decision to turn San Diego County into a 'Super' Sanctuary County is an affront to every law-abiding citizen who values safety and justice. The Board of Supervisors’ 3-1 vote to embrace this radical policy is a direct betrayal of the people we are sworn to protect," he wrote on X. "This reckless measure not only goes far beyond California's already extreme Sanctuary State laws but actively endangers our communities by shielding illegal immigrant criminals from deportation," he continued. "Consider this: under this policy, law enforcement is prohibited from notifying ICE about individuals, in custody, who have committed violent and heinous crimes, including: Rape and stalking, Assault and battery, Burglary, Child abuse and more." "I will not stand by while our communities are made less safe," he vowed. "I have already been in contact with the incoming [Trump] Administration and will fight relentlessly to undo this disastrous policy and ensure that illegal immigrant criminals are removed from our neighborhoods."

San Diego County Supervisors accepted over a hundred thousand dollars in gifted payments from influential donors in just the last few years “How they spent the money might surprise you — County Supervisors solicit the donations from companies and organizations. Many of them you'd probably recognize, like SDG&E, the Hamul Indian Village, Cox Communications, and the Deputy Sheriff's Association, among many others. Some organizations had business pending before the county when they donated the money” “The payments are made out to the supervisors offices, and that's an important detail. Under state law, an elected official can only accept gifts of up to $630 per year from a single donor, but there are no limits” “When the gifts are given to a government office, the payments go into an obscure fund. For special events, 3 supervisors took in almost all of these gifts - Democrat supervisor Paloma Aguirre used the money to pay for her swearing-in ceremony last year, including over $9,000 on catering, about $8,000 on audio-visual services, $600 on flowers, and $800 on a mariachi band - Republican supervisor, Joel Anderson used some of the gifted funds on community events. He also spent over $11,000 on mailers - Democrat supervisor, Tara Lawson-Reimer spent tens of thousands of dollars on her state of the county address last year “Campaign finance experts told me the sheer volume and value of gifts flowing into the supervisors offices is very unusual” For reference, The San Diego City Council, which is the largest city in the county is 100% Democrat There isn’t a single Republican elected You can’t tell me the votes aren’t being rigged

California corruption is worse than the 3rd world Los Angeles leaders including mayor Karen Bass were summoned to Federal Court. They DO NOT KNOW where the homeless funds went, “poor oversight, inaccurate accounting, unclear metrics, and untrustworthy results — documents provided by the agency were so poor that it made attracting the spending NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE” “Several LA Leaders, including mayor Karen Bass, were summoned to federal court after an audit found billions in homeless funds were poorly tracked. This was Karen Bass and the head of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisor, Catherine Barger, in federal court. This was yesterday where the court said they didn't know based on analysis where any of the money was going. Now judge David Carter in the hearing with LA Mayor Bass and supervisor Barger, the chair of the board of supervisors who's been active in the search for answers to the homeless problem in LA and Orange County, recited a history of poor oversight, inaccurate accounting, unclear metrics, and untrustworthy results.” “Two studies pointed to the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, LAHSA, as a source of problems. The most recent study, $2,300,000,000, found the documents provided by the agency were so poor that it made attracting the spending nearly impossible” “Supervisor Barger today said the judge is right. — I heard in court that LAHSA wasn't providing transparency, was not providing receipts”
