CNN’s Shermichael Singleton Singleton on last night’s NYC mayoral debate and whether Andrew Cuomo did anything to change the trajectory of the race and a Mamdani victory: “No...I think it’s going to be Mamdani. He’s incredibly talented. As a Republican, I certainly don’t agree with many of his positions. But there is something to be said about the arguments that he’s making to New Yorkers that is palatable. I am concerned about some of his presentations on economics. I’m concerned about the idea of the role of government as it pertains to sort of level setting for people who have economically struggled. I think there’s a different way to go about certain things, but that message is resonating. And if you’re Cuomo, can folks in New York know who Cuomo is? And there’s some real concern about his past misgivings, there’s some concern about some of the things he did as governor. And he didn’t, in my opinion, effectively address those things aggressively enough. Mamdani did. He showcased strength. And even if you’re a New Yorker, you’re curious and maybe say, I don’t disagree with him. You watch that and say, this is a guy who will fight for me, and that moves the needle for voters.”

Bill said he spoke to his financial advisors and they said it made sense. Elon said 'What do you need money for? I thought you cared about climate, etc. What are you doing?' and then he walked away in disgust and never talked to Bill Gates after that. Elon's a purist, he means what he says. The money is a tool for him to do what he wants to do. I take him at face value. I really believe he intends to get to Mars, that's not a joke. And he means to get there within a defined window of time. I don't think that's an inspirational goal, I think he'll do whatever it takes. Elon doesn't want to go down in history as the electric car guy, or the 'I saved America' guy, he wants to go down as the guy who got humanity to the stars. And so I’m going to make money on the short.” And Elon goes, “What do you care about making money? I thought you were into electric cars and climate change and saving the world.
