Why do they continue to try to gaslight people into thinking that Trump is hemorrhaging voter support? I don’t understand what the end result of that is. Do they really think that we’re all just gonna be like “oh, other people are unhappy so I guess I’ll be unhappy to and not go out and vote for a Republican, even though I personally don’t think this is a make or break issue”? Maybe the Democrat party emphasizes and lives through the filter of group-think and conformity, but that’s not what I’m seeing among the people I know who cast their vote for Trump. Many of them independents and moderates.

the military token dude was blowing this up to be a bigger deal than it is. I dont know many veterans but this dude was going all in on the "whiskey, tango, foxtrot" soldier archetype. It sounded like gaslighting to me to boost his own image.

Mockler: Scott, just read off Charlie Kirk and Erica Kirk quotes with a lot of moral clarity. I don't know if you were trying to convince us or Vance that there's no anti-semitism, but there's a lot of moral clarity coming from these people, not from Vance. He did not condemn the young Republican group chat. You can lie and say he did. He didn't. Vance has played fast and loose with this movement the entire time, because he doesn't want to alienate the movement. Scott played coy about Paul Ingrassia and then took the moral high ground, saying that we need clarity about these types of things. You are not providing the type of moral clarity. Can you say that Paul Ingrassia shouldn't belong?

WATCH: Shermichael Singleton Singleton reminds the NewsNight panel criticizing Pete Hegseth's remarks that he DID serve and is fully aware of the fact that war is hell. SHERMICHAEL SINGLETON: Can I just make one point of objection to what Ana just said? You know, in politics, sometimes we make flippant remarks. If we could go back and do it over, we would. Pete Hegseth has served this country honorably- a tour in Afghanistan, a tour in Iraq. I never put on the uniform, but I certainly have a lot of damn respect for the people who do. He led his troops for about a year as a leader, and many of the generals and individuals who gave him a Bronze Star wrote admirably about his leadership position. So I don't think that this is someone who doesn't recognize the importance of war, the toll it takes on families, and that you might indeed pay the ultimate price. And so I think we shouldn't forget that. We may dislike him. You may not like the comment that he made and we could critique maybe it wasn't the right way to word it, but but this is someone who knows war more than anybody at this table that I'm familiar with, and we should keep that in mind.
