The DSA's platform is so radical and out of touch with average Americans that it made a group of Los Angeles liberals GASP in utter shock when Bill Maher read it to them. GOOD. I'm glad a left-leaning audience is finally being exposed to what the DSA actually wants to do to America. They aren't talking about simple policy tweaks. They are trying to fully abolish the police and prison systems, defund the military, eradicate the Senate and the Supreme Court, and throw out the Constitution entirely to draft a brand-new socialist republic.
