There has been a record level of snow where you are, the roads are a mess and the city is adamant about clearing the roads for public safety. The city issued a parking ban an hour before they started towing everyone away. Imagine coming out from work and your car is gone, could the have done better and have been more fair about it? Maybe not charge them this time since an hour isn’t sufficient time’s notice?

The society we abuse today will eventually take its toll on our children, because they will only learn by our example. Everything we are experiencing in our country today is a reflection of the decay of civility and orderliness. When we choose to conduct both our public and personal lives with bad behaviour and rascality, we normalise bad behaviour, lawlessness, and criminality. I watched a heartbreaking video that showed students in Auchi Polytechnic in Edo State running for their lives as they were being shot at during their student election yesterday which left 2 students dead and several injured. The question is: Where did they learn it from? Are they cursed, or are we the political leaders who are cursed? When we have chosen to "fight, snatch it, grab it, and run with it" how can we expect our children to do it rightly and democratically when they have learned from us? This is not just disgraceful, it’s a national indictment. When we, the leaders, have chosen to fight, snatch, grab and run with it, our children have learned similar and rascality is now a normal situation. It is now up to us, the leaders, to learn how to restore civility, order, and core values in our society by ensuring that our character and behaviour reflect the change we seek in our society. We must do better, for our students, for our children, and for our country. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

My position has always has been and remains, that this story may be like crack cocaine to those who can’t live a day without outrage, but to many who have been the victims of such abuse, they are being forced to relive it every day for nothing but political point scoring and social voyeurism. When photos from his son’s wedding were leaked, he felt hurt and that’s completely natural. But imagine the pain when a private video of Dharam Ji and the entire family, where everyone was visibly emotional and crying, was leaked without consent. After watching that video, one can only imagine how deeply Sunny Deol and his family must have been affected. He spoke nothing but the truth privacy is important, and it deserves respect. Fame does not cancel basic human emotions. Some moments are meant to stay personal, and protecting them is not a weakness, it’s a right.

There is not a single MP in this country that I would ever wish harm on. I may disagree with them or find their politics abhorrent, but intimidation has no place in a democracy. What we are now seeing from this The Green Party candidate turning up at an MP’s office in an intimidating manner towards her and her staff, is completely unacceptable. We have already seen where this road leads with the murders of Jo Cox and David Amess, two MPs with different politics but the same tragic outcome, and it should have been a line that is never crossed again. This behaviour fuels that same dangerous environment and it must stop, and the Green Party should act immediately and stand this individual down.
