Should creative businesses that plan to legally discriminate based on the recent Supreme Court ruling hang a sign saying which groups they will and will not serve? I asked 303 Creative's Lorie Smith and her Alliance Defending Freedom attorney on #HeyNext.

303 Creative's Lorie Smith and @ADFLegal said they were not involved in faking the request for a same-sex wedding website cited in Smith's case. Smith called it a "legitimate request" and blamed "fake news stories."

Truthfully, I’d love to know beforehand how any business feels about my livelihood before I ask for their services. I’d rather not find out the hard way. A very fair question and I appreciate you asking them about it.

Feels like you got no actual answer to any of your very reasonable questions

Strong interview, Kyle! Thanks for asking the question that was impossible for them to answer. Loved how you followed up on your “disheartening and despicable” 🙄 implication by asking the same question AGAIN, but directly to the “website designer”. You are a treasure. 💕

Oh she’s such a victim 🙄 The fact is that no person has ever even asked this woman to create a wedding website, much less a same-sex wedding website. The only way a gay couple calls up a conservative Christian for design services would be if they had the wrong number.

Of course they couldn’t answer the question since the case was hypothetical! Disgraceful ruling by th Supreme Court!

I say let them. Bigots will lose in a free market. I believe most people don’t care who you are until you are a customer - at that point everyone sees green. Forcing service is wrong for a society. If someone choses not to serve a gay couple then good riddance, they will fail or at least never grow in general. The person that does serve a gay couple and anyone with money to spend will always win. Vote with your dollars.

I’d love a marking or designation that indicates this business engages in discriminatory services so I can spend my money elsewhere!

I think boycotting 303 Creatives is a must now.

WATCH: Sen. Ted Cruz breaks down the 6-3 Supreme Court ruling in Louisiana v. Callais: “The court concluded is that it is not permissible for elected politicians to gerrymander based on race, to draw a black seat or a white seat or an Hispanic seat, that when government draws distinctions based on race, that is contrary to the Constitution.” Cruz explained: “The Supreme Court issued a 6-3 decision. Justice Alito wrote the majority opinion. And in that opinion, the court vindicated the Constitution of the United States. And in particular the 14th Amendment that ensures that all persons in the United States are entitled to equal protection of the laws, and also the 15th Amendment which protects the right to vote regardless of race. And what the court concluded is that it is not permissible for elected politicians to gerrymander based on race, to draw a black seat or a white seat or an Hispanic seat, that when government draws distinctions based on race, that is contrary to the Constitution. I think that question is absolutely correct. Uh as Chief Justice Roberts wrote in a previous case, it is a sorted business this divying us up by race. He also said the best way to stop discriminating on race is to stop discriminating based on race. And and I think the court's decision here says our government should be blind to color. We should be colorblind. We should not discriminate in favor of or against any race. I think the Supreme Court is correct and and and that uh that is the result of decades of litigation to to to get these racial gerrymanders struck down.”
