Shoulder The Burden is still by far the biggest problem in DBD specifically at high mmr. I see this perk at least once every 4 or 5 games, and it is game warping every time even if it's not used perfectly. This perk is so stupid in the hands...

The strongest anti-tunneling perk is not DS, not even shoulder the burden. It's Babysitter. Nothing forces a killer to stop tunneling like a survivor running faster than him with no scratch marks. You leave the hook for a nanosecond and this perk ends your entire game against a good team. It should really be either stealth or speed, not both.

Conviction is not an easy perk to use correctly. But when it's used by a good player in the right situation, it is game ending for the killer. The problem with this design is that Conviction is totally silent until it activates, with no signs or plans that the killer can take to prepare for it. When it works, it just happens and you lose, that's it.

Shoulder the burden has been a black mark on the game since its release in doomed course. It is legitimately a free win button against 90% of the killer roster, and has warped gameplay around it drastically at high levels.

Sprint Burst is the biggest balance problem on either side of DBD. But it's so endemic to the game that it's likely impossible to fix gracefully. The way it smashes low tier killers into the dirt and is largely ignored by the strongest killers is very unhealthy.

Blood Favor is one of the worst designed killer perks, with how it forces survivors to play in one specific way and can kill you instantly depending on the map and where it hits you. Randomness, restricting chase mindgames, making the chase of already strong killers downright stupid... it's a wonder this perk hasn't been targeted yet. The only silver lining is that most good killer players are honorable to pretend like it doesn't exist!

Hex: Thrill of the Hunt is a problem, but maybe not for the reason you think it is. Hex totems have a lot of inherent flaws, and this perk is a force multiplier of those flaws. And that force is redirected straight into the skulls of dbd's vulnerable second class citizens, solo queue players.

Windows of Opportunity is the biggest crutch perk on the survivor side by a large margin. What starts as a really great way to learn the obtuse and overwhelming game of DBD becomes a parasite on your growth as a survivor. Don't give in to run to yellow brain, learn how to play tiles and eventually unequip this perk. Your survival rate will increase and your teammates will thank you!

It's pretty obvious that Dead by Daylight is survivor sided when played to its absolute peak of sweatiness. Which is extremely rare in normal games, yet here I have a perfect example for you 4X decisive strike, used aggressively 3 times 2X shoulder the burden Reassurance through the floor on a stack map Deliverance used as an offensive tool 4X dead hard Giving an Artist 8 stages and 2 kills with this should be a crime, and this is why less and less people bother to play killers outside the top 5-7 strongest

Nowhere to Hide is the clearest example of a crutch perk on the killer side. Survivors have run to yellow, killers have point and click aura adventure. Stealth is such an important intangible part of this game. Nowhere to hide existing in a trial removes that and forces everyone to hold W forever. Holding W is boring, in my opinion! I think this perk's range should be reduced, and it should stop working when a killer movement ability is used.

Slugging will continue to be necessary (against good survivors) in the current state of the game: I am very open to debate on this, but that relatable killer feeling of playing against perks, not players, it leads to a meta like this. Please watch the entire video before you comment. shoulder the burden, fast track, resurgence, babysitter, deli dh ds, healing builds, sabo (less important), in combination with basekit handholding like 70 second hook stages and 15 second endurance mean that A tier and below killers are now so heavily punished for hooking that coulrophobia slugging is necessary against any good team running the above perks.

Decisive Strike is an integral concept to Dead by Daylight as a whole, but its main issue is that it's exactly as strong as the people using it. It can't be balanced for the 20,000 hours swf stacking 4 of them and the 100 hours solo player it was designed for. Add diminishing returns on the amount of them in the trial, and 3 seconds for weak killers + 6 seconds for the strongest killers. Do that and you have the perfect anti tunnel perk.
