🇷🇺 🇺🇦 Three days ago Ukraine struck a college dormitory in Starobilsk while students were sleeping. Leaving 18 Russian students dead. Putin warned publicly and explicitly that there would be a harsh response. But the international community stayed silent. Nobody covered that warning seriously. Nobody asked whether striking a dormitory full of sleeping students was a war crime. It got a fraction of the coverage that Kyiv is getting right now. Last night, Russia retaliated by hammering Kyiv with a massive wave of drones and ballistic missiles, including the hypersonic Oreshnik. Both sides have hit civilian targets in this conflict. But both sides are causing civilian deaths that should never happen. The difference is that one side's casualties generate global outrage, while the other side gets total silence. That’s not justification. That’s a sequence of events that the selective outrage machine only picked up halfway through. If you genuinely want this war to end and the civilians on both sides to stop dying; you have to be honest about all of it. Not just the part that fits a selective narrative.

Damage has been recorded at more than 10 locations across the city, including residential buildings. As of now, it has been confirmed that, tragically, eleven people were killed in this attack. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Around 60 more people were injured. Over the course of the night, the Russians launched around 430 drones of various types and a significant number of missiles. There were 13 ballistic missiles alone, and the total number of missiles in this attack was 68. According to preliminary data, 58 of them were intercepted by our air defense system. And every such night of Russian strikes is a reminder to all our partners that air defenses and the missiles for them are effectively a daily necessity. Every agreement on missile supplies cannot wait – everything must be implemented as quickly as possible. Our agreements to increase the production of air defense missiles are a critical direction, and this direction requires one hundred percent attention. Russia will try to exploit the war in the Middle East to cause even greater destruction here in Europe, in Ukraine.
