Situation update: I already knew that there's no manual release latch for Golf 7s because I went deep into the Golf 7 forums but ke, proof is in the pudding, as they say. Those belittling/undermining suggestions? None of them have worked. This is VWSA's problem now 🙏🏾

Tyrrell Hatton is playing some awesome golf on the LIV Golf League, with a win in Nashville, but he’s currently only in 1 major for 2025. I asked whether future major access concerns him at all: “I know that the guys at LIV are trying to figure it out with the powers that be in golf. I think everyone in the golf world can agree that there’s enough fantastic players on LIV that you’d like to see them in fields at majors. Currently, obviously they go off the world ranking system. I think, from a players perspective, I hope that something can be worked out where if it goes into 2025 there’s X amount of spots that LIV receive to play in majors. Just with the quality of fields that we have, I don’t see how people could argue that those guys wouldn’t be deserving of a spot in those tournaments.” Imo, access to major championships is the number 1 issue for LIV to address. It’s helps builds important context for the league and gives career progression for the players. Hopefully something is worked out soon.

At the start of this year, Phil Mickelson had a crushing ball speed of 165mph. Within 2 months he upped that to high 170’s and topping over 180. That’s an incredible jump for a man in his 50’s! He puts it down to training with speed sticks and explains how he has to change his release the faster he gets. “What I do notice is as I speed the swing up, I have to change the release point of my golf swing. I use length to create the leverage that I want, so it takes a lot of pressure off. But, as I do that, I have to change where the release is. But if I speed up, when I get down to the ball the face will be open. So I have to feel like I’m releasing the club a little bit earlier.” Lefty is a master at going deep in explaining the technicals of the golf swing.
