Small progress today on pieter (dot) com live now: Got a full BIOS working, and it runs the basic MS-DOS commands like EDIT and FORMAT, and added an old CRT screen around it for effect I tried to Format C: my drive and it literally does nuke itself 😂...

🚗 I managed to get the the first GTA ever running on pieter dot com 🤠 Somehow it doesn't boot directly from Windows 3.11 But it runs fine from DOS, first exit to DOS double click [ - ] from Program Manager, then type CD GAMES CD GTA1 GTADOS And it runs!!!

🖨️ It took over a year and lots of help from Claude Code but I have now been able to create a real dot matrix printer on the web that prints from Windows 3.11 in your browser: Here's the test page: I couldn't get the LPT1 port to work but COM2 did work (the dial up model already uses COM1), the JS receives the COM2 serial data (just raw print data) and then prints it Next is to make the dot matrix printer better looking (kinda 3d like on pieter dot com) and have the paper also flowing in 3d out of the printer and integrate it on the page My idea was that it might work because we also capture the COM1 data (from the dial up modem) and send it to a Websocket as a dial up connection, so we should be able to capture the COM2 traffic too but I didn't know how, but now I do IT WORKS!! 😊

I got Yeo KM's Llama for MS-DOS running on pieter dot com I'm running DDOSLLAM2.EXE with Andrej Karpathy's TinyLlama stories260K.bin model Only thing it's outputting jibberish, but it does work without errors Maybe it's something about the emulation that breaks the tokens?

✨ Added a CRT curvature distortion to pieter™ now It takes the Em-DOSBox and processes it in WebGL and builds a new with the distortion of a classic CRT screen which had this convex curvature (like an old TV) even though the screen itself was square I had this working on DOSBox on MacOS and on Linux with CRT-Pi shader, but on web it doesn't support shaders so I had to build my own with Claude Code in JS, very easy I remember trying this a year ago and Claude Code fucked it up so bad that I gave up, so I think the models have improved a lot Tomorrow I'll try add some scanlines, it really helps make the simulation more passable (and nostalgic!) 😊👌

Had to install Windows XP (with an emulator app for MacOS called UTM) so I could install Ulead Cool 3D to generate a 3D .GIF for pieter dot com First create an .ISO of the Ulead Cool 3D install, because Windows XP on UTM networking is broken Then after making the .GIF I had to build a HTTP-only file upload page because XP doesn't support modern HTTPS, to get the file out to R2 But it works :D

✨ Installed 🚗 Death Rally (1996) on pieter dot com and it has an actual really cool music score Grand Theft Auto wasn't directly inspired by it but it does feel very similar, top-down race view, and you can even drive over ppl similarly, nice 😊👍 One feature we might need soon is [ SAVE ] which would save the entire state of the computer because now you can play but the moment you close the tab, next time the computer just resets to the base state again. Would be cool to have it save state James Baicoianu has managed to that before with I think WebFS, so maybe we should add that? I'd like to be able to keep changing the C:\ boot drive with new apps and games though so not sure how that'd work!

My Clawdbot is literally like another employee that sits behind me I went through Twitter and found any trending posts for security concerns that people have been running into with Clawdbot I texted them all to Midir (my Clawdbot lol) and I told him to analyze it to see if we have any of the same problems But I found this really long thread, and I didn't wanna paste it all into Telegram, So I sent him the link, and said "Open it on your own Chrome browser on your PC and analyze it like we just were” I turned around IRL, and he literally had the tab open and was reading it From all of the research that we did, I had him compile any vulnerabilities that we had, propose a fix, and then fix them I also made him create a CRON so that you guys can feed it to your Clawdbot and make sure that you're also not open to the same vulnerabilities (this is a great basic check not a permanent fix) Full CRON github below:

When I saw that Assassin's Creed Unity was getting a 60 FPS update for current gen consoles, I honestly could not wait to see it with my own eyes. And after playing it, I realized it is not just 60 FPS. The game also seems to be upscaled to 4K, which is absolutely insane in my opinion and the game runs incredibly smooth! Many of you know that I have never been the biggest fan of Unity. But I have to admit, maybe it is just placebo, yet it genuinely feels like the game plays better. Almost like the controller responds more precisely to what I actually want to do. I tested it properly in stealth and of course in parkour, and I have to say, it feels amazing! For PC players this might not be anything special. But for someone like me, mainly playing on console, finally being able to experience Assassin’s Creed Unity at 60 FPS is a game changer. And by the way, co op also seems to be working normally again. This is honestly crazy to see!

My favorite way of interacting with Claude Code is to have it generate static HTML files as outputs (reports, explorations, code structure, mockups etc.) I wanted to iterate on the file by commenting in browser and having Claude update the output live. So, I built this Claude Skill👇 How it works: - Install Claude Code skill (ask it to clone repo) - Build an HTML page for anything (e.g. research coding agents and generate HTML report) - Ask it to make the page interactive That's it. CC will launch a localhost server and allow you to then leave comments on the page itself and once it updates, will give you a tour of changes. It's like Google Docs kind of comments/iteration but for HTML pages.

Okay I spun it off as a Quake 1 web-based multiplayer game + server you can play now at: 👉 👈 It still works via null modem and you get instantly paired to another player (if there is somebody) and it's just a 16mb download of Quake 1 demo instead of the whole 400mb pieter .com drive If you open the URL both in the same time you probably get paired together and can death match! There is quite some latency because every package goes through my server and Quake 1 did not have client-side prediction yet (which is what Quake World added later), I'l try get QW running to see if it improves it a bit Group multiplayer can come but for that I need to see if I can get actual COM1 modem connection working not just a null modem! Here I'm playing a local LAN death match with Javi Lopez ⛩️ on a game from 1996 in a web browser via a COM1 serial port tunneled via Websockets over the internet! 🤓
