Also 99% of the times that startup is just a business guy with contacts that raises a ton of money from the VC fund in which he did an internship. And there’s very few talented CTOs out there that can turn that business vision into profitable tech.

Was thinking along the same lines, going as far as giving the entire project to a single self-motivated engineer or a tiny group of 2-3 developers with compatible views and mutual respect.

Agree, though small startups have several benefits over big companies too. One major is - flexibility and team commitment.
