MDW-28, the maiden well of ONGC’s current deepwater campaign in the Mahanadi Basin is flowing gas with encouraging rates and sustained reservoir pressure. The campaign was launched on 25 July 2026 by Hon'ble Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, with the spudding of MDW-28 (MN-DW18-1-H-D) in the deep offshore Mahanadi Basin, aligned with the Government's Samudra Manthan initiative. Following this, like many other illegal Bangladeshis & Rohingyas who fled the National Capital fearing identification and ultimately detention, these 6 illegal Bangladeshis too returned to Tripura to cross over to their home country but were caught. In reality, mass relocation to overcrowded pounds often leads to neglect, disease, and premature death. 5. Violation of Established Animal Welfare Rules The Animal Birth Control (Dogs) Rules, 2023 mandate sterilization, vaccination, and release—not permanent removal. The present order contradicts long-standing, proven, and humane stray dog management laws. 6. Nyali School Betrayed by Greed and Corruption The once-revered Nyali School stands today as a testament to corruption, greed, neglect and betrayal. Its proud legacy has been tarnished by years of mismanagement. Previously hallowed halls are now marred by endless scandals with parents and the community wrestling against those who have brought their beloved institution to its knees. In a resolute display of solidarity and defiance, parents took to the streets on Monday to demand accountability as they marched along Links Road, stretching from Nyali Primary School to Nyali Centre. The crux of their grievances lies in the construction of flats on the school's adjacent land by Symbion Consulting Group - a company reportedly linked to former Board of Management (BOM) Chairman Benjamin Gitonga. Despite extensive discussions with various governmental authorities, including the County Commissioner, Education and Security teams and MP for Nyali, the entrenched old board has adamantly refused to sign the Consent form which is crucial for withdrawing the legal battle from court and allowing the duly elected board to take over. This refusal is seen by many as a deliberate attempt to maintain control and prolong the agony for the school and its stakeholders. "These buildings must be brought down. Hakuna negotiations with these people. They knew very well this is school land but still went ahead and constructed," said one angry parent. "The same contractor was used for another school scandal in Mavueni where the school lost Ksh 200 million to a project that stalled. They were building Nyali Secondary School though they inflated the land price and materials, and the project stalled at foundation level. Back then there was another board, whose chairman is now the owner of Symbian." Connecting the dots, it becomes apparent that there's more than meets the eye. According to parents, the National Land Commission (NLC) concluded that the land belongs to Nyali School and that owners of those flats pay the school a figure yet to be disclosed. But someone mentioned a payment was due this July and that's why the old board is applying delay tactics to receive the payment. Walking through the Nyali School grounds today, it's hard to reconcile the reality. The deplorable state of its facilities has not only eroded the physical infrastructure but has also given rise to serious health issues among its students. From filthy kitchens to decrepit classrooms and bathrooms - the conditions are nothing short of appalling. The canteen, where children should receive nourishment is instead a breeding ground for illness. It's no wonder students suffer from urinary tract infections and other health problems given the lack of basic sanitation and hygiene. "Teaching here has become increasingly difficult. The lack of basic facilities like functioning toilets and clean drinking water makes it hard to maintain a conducive learning environment. Many of our students come to class sick because of the unsanitary conditions," said one teacher. It is a scene straight out of a horror movie, except this is real life for the poor students at Nyali School.

Gujarat sees a GIB chick after a decade, through a novel conservation measure - the jumpstart approach, coordinated by the Ministry, State Forest Departments of Rajasthan and Gujarat, and Wildlife Institute of India. Envisioned by PM Shri Narendra Modi ji in 2011 to conserve GIB in its natural habitats including Gujrat, Project GIB was launched in 2016. As a result the number of birds in conservation breeding centres, started at Sam and Ramdevra in Rajasthan, have reached 73 with addition of 5 new chicks in this season and we are moving ahead towards rewilding of birds in near future. In achieving another milestone, a female GIB, tagged in August 2025, had laid an infertile egg in Kutch, as this population has lost all its males long back. In a major trans-state conservation effort, a captive-bred GIB egg from the conservation breeding program in Rajasthan was transported by road over 19 hours in a handheld portable incubator and was replaced in the nest on 22 March. The female completed incubating this fertile egg and hatched it on March 26. The field monitoring team found the young chick being reared by its foster mother. This effort is among one of the many steps to recover the critically endangered Great Indian Bustard populations. With the commitment to save GIB, we are making great progress in India’s conservation journey. Congratulations to all scientists, field officers and wildlife enthusiasts who made this possible. If pioneers rush to buy and sell, hold onto their Pi coins, or trade at low value, it will impact the speed and efficiency of the next migration in these regions. This principle is not only theoretically valid but has proven true in practice. For instance, countries like the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia have a solid educational foundation in GCV. Most pioneers there are highly aware of the risks involved in participating in the black market, which allows them to generate a substantial amount of GCV data. As a result, their migration speed is notably fast, and there are many large wallet migrated. To help the CT regain momentum, we all need to cooperate. Engage with the migrated Pi and participate in the GCV barter ecosystem. Be cautious of individuals who aim to deceive you for personal gain; devaluing the Pi often serves as a tactic to exchange something small for your valuable treasure. It's crucial to educate pioneers about the true value of what they hold and encourage them to avoid dishonest practices. I urge everyone to actively participate in partial Pi and partial FIAT barter. The more GCV data we generate, the more secure our wallets will be. Therefore, it's important for everyone to read and share the Pioneer Handbook I wrote which has been translated into 30 languages to raise awareness among pioneers.
