Earlier today, I had the privilege of touring the Teknowledge office in Lagos alongside the Honorable Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande (Ayodele Olawande ). Also present was Niyi Odejobi, as we explored the groundbreaking work Teknowledge is doing to drive technological innovation and youth empowerment in Nigeria. Teknowledge is dedicated to equipping young Nigerians with the skills and resources they need to thrive in the digital economy. Through specialized training in software development, artificial intelligence, digital entrepreneurship, and startup incubation, the organization is helping bridge the digital skills gap, fostering innovation, and creating opportunities for young people to excel. Their work is shaping a future where Nigerian youth are not just consumers of technology but active creators and leaders in the space. During the visit, the Minister was visibly impressed by the impact Teknowledge is making. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting initiatives that empower young people through digital education and job creation. He also spoke about the importance of strategic collaborations between the Federal Ministry of Youth Development and organizations like Teknowledge to expand access to tech-driven opportunities for Nigerian youth. It was inspiring to witness the alignment between Teknowledge’s vision and the Ministry’s goals. The meeting was co-chaired by Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Petroleum, Ali Pervez Malik, and Bangladesh’s Economic Affairs Adviser, Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed. According to the joint communiqué: Pakistan offered Bangladesh access to the Karachi Port Trust, enabling Dhaka to trade with China, Central Asian states, and other regional countries through the port. Both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation between their national shipping corporations. Pakistan expressed gratitude for Bangladesh’s warm hospitality, with Minister Ali Pervez Malik noting that Pakistan–Bangladesh relations are rooted in mutual respect and friendship. The two countries agreed to expedite efforts for launching direct flights between Pakistan and Bangladesh. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Pakistan Halal Authority and the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institute (BSTI) to enhance collaboration in Halal trade, paving the way for closer cooperation in product quality and certification. The communiqué also emphasized the establishment of a Pakistan–Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor, proposing 500 new, fully-funded scholarships in Pakistan for Bangladeshi students. Earlier this week, we had the privilege of representing #TamilNadu at the prestigious #ParisAirShow2025, one of the world’s most significant events in the aerospace and defence sector ! At the inauguration of the India Pavilion, it was a proud moment to see #TamilNadu recognised as a leader in A&D manufacturing and innovation. Alongside the team from TIDCO and Guidance Tamil Nadu, we led a delegation that engaged with several global aerospace majors, and many conversations show immense potential. Our focus of our conversations was clear: forge strategic partnerships, enable technology transfer, attract investments and create high-value #JobsForTN. We had high-level meetings with senior officials from the French Government and industry leaders from across the globe. Today, the Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, undertook his first official inspection visit to the PTDF College for Petroleum and Energy Studies, Kaduna (CPESK). The visit represents a major milestone in the Federal Government’s ongoing commitment to domesticating globally competitive education and expertise in the oil and gas sector. During the visit, the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), Mr. Ahmed Galadima Aminu, announced that CPESK is set to commence split-site PhD programmes in 2025. These programmes will be run in collaboration with international partner institutions, including Robert Gordon University, the University of Strathclyde, and the University of Portsmouth. He also disclosed that a significant number of Nigerians have already applied for admission to the College through the recently advertised PTDF 2025 Overseas Scholarship Scheme (OSS). Islamabad: 6 July 2026. Candidate for the position of United Nations Secretary-General, H.E. Ms. María Fernanda Espinosa, called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House today. While welcoming Ms. Espinosa, the Prime Minister expressed Pakistan’s longstanding commitment to multilateralism, as well as the high significance it has always attached to the United Nations. While reaffirming this abiding commitment to the UN, the Prime Minister expressed the hope that the incoming leadership of the United Nations will continue to work towards promoting the three pillars of the United Nations in a balanced manner through adherence to the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, faithful implementation of UN Security Council resolutions, respect for international law and treaties, and active international cooperation among Member States within the framework of the UN Charter to promote global peace and prosperity. Ms. Espinosa thanked the Prime Minister for receiving her and praised Pakistan for its leading role in recent regional peace efforts as well as its active participation in the United Nations over the past many decades. I had a good meeting with Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan. Thank you for the invitation to the European Political Community Summit. This is the first visit by the President of Ukraine to Armenia in the past 24 years. It is important that we are restoring active dialogue between our countries. We discussed the situation in the region, as well as security challenges and threats. I briefed the Prime Minister on the diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a real peace. We also discussed the development of our economic partnership. I proposed resuming the work of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation and holding its next meeting this year in Kyiv.
