I lived in Greece for 10 years. There was a heatwave every Summer for at least 1 - 2 weeks with temperatures of 45 C and above. Fires were common in and around Attika. This is not a new phenomenon.

So nobody at @BBCScotland thought to ask @kellylgiven why, if she is so concerned about climate change, she took fossil fuelled flights to/from Greece, and spent 3 weeks using AC. In New York 3 months ago and Greece last year also, then on TV to give out about fossil fuel?!

What in any way justifies her inclusion in a scientific chat discussion ? What qualifications, other than she was on holiday, justifies her to be trying to qualify climate discussions ?

Three weeks in Greece was here first Green mistake, she blew her carbon footprint right there, next she ran the aircon on full blast, another deficit, but yet she would do it all again. Today she mouths the mantra, after she took a holiday that the plebs will be denied.

In the 80's I went to Crete, Rhodes and the Aegean. My conclusion was that it's f'n too hot for tourism in July, I wouldn't even consider going there for a holiday. Crete, 250 miles from Egypt and folks wonder why it's hot. Lindos, Rhodes is beautiful but a boiling hell hole.
