These are site licenses intended for businesses. They're per employee (10x), and each employee can install it on as many machines as they need. Pro is more expensive because it includes lifetime updates. Priority support (VIP) is just a bonus perk. Check the pricing FAQ.

Now the question becomes. Should you stop the free beta in order to make more money? I suspect that they will not be capable of improving things so you need not worry.

Beta ends when the features planned for version 1 on the roadmap are covered, hopefully in the next few months.

Congrats! What do you think the chances are that they out-perform FP?

I don't think it's that hard to match FP's indexing performance (at least it shouldn't be for a company with as many resources as Microsoft). But there are other parts, like a responsive UI, that tie it all together into a nice, cohesive program. And that requires careful architecture behind the scenes, from memory and threading to string processing etc. Not sure how deep they'll go. Also worth mentioning is that they have to maintain backward compatibility, while I don't, for the most part.

Hey just wanna notice to you that on systems without gpu, filepilpot is terrible, with >1s render delay and like 15fps scrolling while file explorer handles this perfectly fine. Also when browsing folders, dont clear the file view *until* you got the new list -> flicker

Yeah its a VM OS: Build 29574 (same perf on 26100) CPU: 16x 5950x 32GB Ram Graphics SW Rasterized with d3dwarp (Can handle 3D games and scenes, browsers etc just fine)

Next version brings support for Direct3D which has proper simulation layer for this.

tested it and it is a lot better! there is still *some latency but its usable :)

Truly amazing software! My suggestion: ​Sticky Sorting: The app should remember and automatically apply the last used sort method (e.g., Date or Name) upon relaunch. ​Persistent Priority: Allow the 'Folders First' (or Files First) preference to be saved so it doesnt reset.

Drag and drop actions needs improvement. As an example I can't drop files to folders using filezilla. Other than that Im having a blast using FilePilot. Amazing tool!
